* This 'n That on a Friday Night *

I got a kick out of this comic strip. Click on it to make it larger to read.

More candle wax art. How about that smiley face?!

I received this amaryllis for a birthday gift from son Scott and his wife. It's been so much fun to watch. They're really amazing flowers!

Happy Weekend! Stay comfy cozy wherever you are!

  2. Hi Becky,

    I enjoyed all three of your pictures; and the cartoon made me laugh!

    I hope that you have a wonderful weekend. Stop and smell the flower, and let your imagination flow (like the candle wax, get it?)!

  3. Lovely flower, Becky. And I love the happy face. This might be a fun artsy thing to do with the kids. Well, wait a minute... Fire+ hot wax+ kids (might) = ER visit. LOL Maybe I'll try it instead.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Hey Becky - I enjoyed the cartoon, especially since I received a Kindle for Christmas (and love, love, love it!). The only Kindle problem I see, in fact, is that it is so easy to download books I'm likely to spend a fortune before I realize it.

    Trust you to find a smiley face in candle wax. LOL

  5. I agree with Lisa. The cartoon was funny, but I got a Nook for Mother's Day and yes, I still buy lots of books, but going on a car or plane trip with several ebooks is quite nice (instead of lugging a bag of books along). AND, I can get "instant gratification" and get a book in less than a minute (which, as Lisa said, could be dangerous).

  7. That flower is gorgeous! I should get something like that so the kids and I can look at something other than white snow, LOL!
