* Nostalgic Sundays *

Time for Another Nostalgic Sunday

Today's Nostalgic Sunday is about my wedding anniversary which was yesterday, the 11th. Below are two photos from that special day in 1983.

Have I mentioned The Ronald is a foot taller than I am??!! That comes in handy when I need something from the top shelf!

Welcome to my newest follower, Chris I hope you'll stop by often and always enjoy what you read and see. Thank you!

  2. Congratulations not just on your anniversary, but on having a good marriage.

Ronald is so tall and handsome.
    And you're so pretty.

I'm not too gifted in the height department either. We have one more thing in common.

  7. wow... THAT is tall! and very handsome! I once fell in love with a man who was 6'4" and I am 5'3" I loved being wrapped in his arms. It made me feel safe. My current husband is 5'7" and I love the way we fit together - holding hands, walking down the street, or spooning. I guess love trumps everything :)

  13. I DO hope you've had a LOVELY anniversary. A foot taller. Well, I could use something that tall in MY household. A few hours earlier I was stretching to get something from a shelf.

I love these photographs. You're both beautiful/handsome. Almost 30 years! That's awesome. It is so true that there's nothing more lovely than a good marriage. I'm so glad yours is happy. And I'm also glad that you liked my memoir (I just read your email). I'll look forward to whatever you post about it!

  14. Wow! The Ronald is one tall drink of water! Whatever that means. I've heard it for years, but never used it before.

Since it pays to increase your phrase power, I'm off to Google it.

Well, well. Seems that saying means a great catch. As in, someone who is as welcome as a tall drink of water on a hot day.

    Congratulations!

  16. Hello!
I visited here because I saw your comment on Julie Fedderson's blog ["Gypsy In My Soul"].

I stopped by to tell you that... YOU WIN IN A LANDSLIDE!

You were the only one to mention Bruce Willis in the '1980s Gal Crushes' category.

Sheesh! What a no-brainer! He was almost assuredly the best TV/Movies "real man" of the '80s! And that's coming from me, a 100% heterosexual dudeguy.

Bruce Willis easily trumps all those sissies mentioned: Rick Springfield, Lorenzo Lamas, James Spader, et al.

YOU were the only commenter to mention Bruce Willis. He, the only "MAN" amongst them. (Psst! "Moonlighting" is one of my all-time Top Ten TV shows.)

But then to come here and find you have posted a reference to TAGS ('The Andy Griffith Show')!

I'm not sure how TAGS ties in with your wedding anniversary, but I DO KNOW that anyone who likes TAGS is a friend of mine!

I'm your newest "Follower"! And that's even before I've read any of your older blog bits! Bruce Willis and TAGS is enough to convince me that you're my breed!

  17. A belated happy anniversary to you. My partner and I have been together for over 30 years and we still squabble about who is taller (I am).
