* AND THE WINNER IS.......*

Hello Everyone!

* The winner of my book give-away from Wednesday, May 22nd is.....McGuffy Ann! Congratulations! I also mention it in the comment section of that post: http://beckypovich.blogspot.com/2013/05/books-dogs-give-away.html

~~~~~
In spite of the yucky, rainy, dark, dismal, cloudy, and almost floody weather at my house.....I will NOT let this weather get me down.....(although I hate it!)....I'm following my sister-in-law's example and reminding myself that compared to the recent horrible destruction and loss of lives in other areas, I have nothing to complain about!
So.....to begin:
~~~~~

I'll supply my own sunshine!

One of my favorite local trails. (2009)

Mmmm....a strawberry dipped in chocolate and chilled. (2011)

A gift from a very good writer-friend! (2012)

Vern snoozing on the deck. What a sweetie!

Lake of the Ozarks...Ahhhhhh (2011)

Beautiful blue sky and huge, puffy, white, cotton candy clouds! (2012)

~~~~~
AND, how can anyone keep from being happy when hearing this??
Birds chirping, music playing, Julie Andrews singing!
    1. Hi Lisa! Another sweet person!! I knew you liked The Sound of Music, but I don't think I knew it was your "favorite all time movie." It's gotta be right up there at the top of my list, too!
  3. Keep fighting the gloom, you can do it. We were fighting gray but had Lovely Sunday and had a little road trip even today! Now Thursday gray and severe weather starts to return for four days...okay, finding some gratitude like you before it gets here!
    1. Hi Bookie! Thank you for the encouragement! It's been gorgeous here today and I've been taking advantage of being outside when I can....Vern and I on the deck, taking a walk, and just looking out my large windows when I'm busy inside! Stay safe!!
    1. Yep, I'm sorry to say. Your word of disappointment is also one of my favorite words! That and also: Poopy, Poopy-Do, and Poops!
    And remember you are much loved.
  6. I may be the only person on the planet who hasn't watched The Sound of Music (though I know several of the songs).
    The stormy days pass and sun shines bright again - unless you live in Pittsburgh, one place where there are a predominance of cloudy days...yet I survived that, too. :)
    1. Hi Kim! I think you definitely ARE the only one on the planet! LOL. I beg to differ on your choice of a cloudy, crappy city....I choose the Seattle/Tacoma area!! Ick!
    1. Thanks, Myrna! I, too, wish all the areas that have too much water and flooding could send some to the drought and fire infested areas. Glad you liked the pics!
  10. I love all of your fun photos, too! We used to go to the Lake of the Ozarks when my kids were growing up. They would get in paddle boats and go...and GO! Fun times! Congrats to your winner! I'm sorry I missed out! But I'm happy for this lucky lady! Sweet hugs my friend!
