I Get By With a Little Help From My Friend, Vern

Vern, by my side this morning, as I continue moving forward with my memoir. I couldn't do it without him!

(And yes, there are tons of paper, books, and folders all over the floor next to my desk!)

  1. Vern seems like such a gentle, soothing companion. I can understand about the papers all over the floor. Just keep going at it Becky.

  4. Not only nice to have a friend you can count on, but pure bliss to have one that never criticises and wouldn't dream of asking 'have you put on weight?' - or any number of other awkward questions.

  7. Short and sweet! I sit here on my bed with my laptop and "boys," an American bulldog mix and a rat terrier mix (both from the shelter) and feel the love as I try to write. I say "try" because the bulldog keeps edging over more and more and looks at me with those winsome eyes until I stop, pet him and slide him back over. Meanwhile, the terrier has taken note and become jealous and scratches at the covers for some loving, too. I end up closing my laptop and snuggling with them for a bit and all is well.

Until I open my laptop again.

This post made me smile, Becky.
