* LIVING THE WRITER'S LIFE *

It's Time for Another Living the Writer's Life

Along the same theme as my Nostalgic Sundays posts being about memories, I'm also going to have frequent blog posts titled, Living the Writer's Life. They will be about....you guessed it: Writerly Things! I need to decide on a photo for it too, like the Andy Griffith dinner table for nostalgia. (What do y'all think about this one? I loved this when I used it for my blog header, but since it wasn't an "official" BlogSpot header, I had some problems with it. Any other suggestions, other than a laptop, or pen in hand kind of thing?)

For weeks I've mentioned Calls for Submissions and Contests that I've come across, and I'm finally getting the chance to post them. I wish I remembered where I saw each of them, so I could give credit where credit is due, but unfortunately I didn't write it down.

Click on the links below for complete contest rules and guidelines.  Good Luck!

    .... Last but not least, that Robert Brault quote is a favorite!

    1. Hi Myra! Thanks! your comment made me laugh! Yes, I LOVED that header...and yes, I chose it because it's all ME, and yes...VERN! That quote is one of my favorites, too. I can't believe you could see all of that. You must have Super Eyes! :)

    1. Hi Keith! Well, I think you should definitely write something...and enter one of these, or any of the hundreds that can be found online! And lots with no entry fees.

  6. Thanks for the links. As for your header, a photo of a woman in front of a laptop, elbows on the desk, head down with her hands clenched in her hair would be accurate for many of us. Probably not the look you're aiming for though. lol I'm sure you'll choose exactly the right thing for you.

  12. Thanks for the wonderful links! If you went with the Andy Griffith dinner table theme, it would be fun if you put your photo in place of Aunt Bea's. Then again, you could also insert your picture next to Aunt Bea's famous pickle jars. Good luck Becky!

    1. Hi Julie! Glad you liked the links! And I love your ideas with the Andy Griffith theme. (Do you watch a lot of the reruns?? The "pickle" episode was just on TV yesterday or the day before I think...here at least!) I only use that table scene for my Nostalgic Sundays, so that's why I'm trying to think of something new for my Writerly posts. I'll probably know when the right one "hits" me!

  16. Hi Becky! I was so happy to see your comment on my blog. And, no need to apologize. This "writer thing" can be super time consuming!
    I love your new theme for posts. I'll definitely be checking it out.
    Also, I'm working on getting books into print. I sent out a request for a proofreader because if I'm printing out real books, I can't live with a bunch of typos. And, I found someone willing to do it, but she lives in Wisconsin. So, I printed both books out and mailed them to her in a flat rate box that weighed like 10 pounds! I'm waiting for her to get back to me and then, I need to decide if I want to use Createspace or Bookbaby to print them out. To make a long story longer (ha!) as soon as I have books in hand, I'll mail them to you!!!
    Take care! Happy almost summer!

I'm still getting quite a few spam comments that are Anonymous, so I'm trying "User with Google Accounts." If anyone tries to comment that I know, and it won't let you, send me an email, okay? Thanks so much.
