* IT'S TEA CUP TUESDAY *

Hello! Today I'm once again joining in the fun for Tea Cup Tuesday with Martha's Favorites. Two weeks ago, I participated for the first time in a LONG time and it was great to be back again.

Here's that link for those who are interested: http://beckypovich.blogspot.com/2014/07/its-tea-cup-tuesday.html.

~~~
Today, I'm once again reposting a Tea Cup Tuesday. This time it's from July 3, 2012.
~~~

My little display is a set of three that I bought at Home Goods about two years ago. (That would be four years ago now!) I loved it the minute I saw it. It's so summery....and I love peaches, too. It was such a ridiculously low price, I just had to buy it! I don't remember exactly, but it was around $5.00 for all three pieces.

The brand is Maxwell Williams, Designer Homewares
The name of it is Orchard Fruits
Fine Bone China

As you can see, it's not the "typical" tea cup usually shown on Tuesdays. It's more of a coffee cup, wouldn't you say?

Many times in the summer, I use these for my lunch. It just makes a plain ol' lunch seem fancy and festive!

Ahhhhh, my morning coffee!

Please excuse my "presentation." I threw this all together and didn't do a very good job!

~~~
I just discovered I have more photos of this set that I didn't use in the 2012 post. They are below:
I'm fairly sure the reason I didn't post these is because of "my presentation!" Not a good job AT ALL! My apologies. I promise I'm much better at it now than I was then!
~~~

Thanks for stopping by and please come back again. I always post a variety of information and photos: tea cups, coffee cups, dogs (MY dog, Vern!) books, writing, authors, reading, vintage, movies, music, holidays, food, ETC!

    1. Hey Claudia ~ Yes, I certainly did get a peach of a deal, didn't I?! You could join Tea Cup Tuesday and just do like I'm doing....post things from past years!

  8. Love it. And a tea cup/mug/bucket is anything you choose to pour tea into (and out of). The same goes for coffee cups/mugs/buckets.
    This is such a happy drinking receptacle though.

  9. Maybe, just maybe, you could slice up a Mackinaw peach to serve on that set, and then put it on a coffee table next to a book about coffee tables! (Sorry, if you're not a Seinfeld aficionado).

    1. Hi Pat! Thanks, and yes it does the same to me, and in fact....as soon as I finish things (temporarily) on my laptop, I have to go to the grocery store....so guess I just might have to buy a couple of peaches!

  12. You know a Georgia peach like me HAD to drop in and say hello! (And I read about "was" and "flour" and laughed--not at you, but at the fact that I've had those moments. Last week, I could NOT remember my zip code. Which is totally understandable. I mean, I've only lived in the same house for 20 years.) :-)

    1. Hi Cathy C! I replied to your comment twice this morning, when Blogger was being a Bugger...and as I see, it never "took." So...here's a version of what I said. Yes, I knew you Georgia Peach had to stop by, and I'm glad you laughed at that post, even if you laughed at ME, 'cause...hey, I did funny stuff! :) And I'm very forgetful about EVERYTHING!

  13. That's a really good deal for that set! And the pieces are really pretty too! Most of my plates and glasses are mismatched; actually, half my glasses are the kind I get as freebies from events or stuff like that, so they're nowhere near as nice as the ones in your pictures.

    1. Thanks! I really love Home Goods! But, hey it doesn't matter if they don't match. That's the "new thing" I think when it comes to setting a table! :)

  14. $5 for that gorgeous set? Great deal!
    I've seen similar sets out here fro $39.95 or more, depending on brand name.
    I don't have any, I just don't have storage space them.

    1. Hey River! Thanks, and yes it was a heck of a deal. It just depends on where I look for them. Some are very expensive, which I pass right by!

  15. Pretty! I see why you use the set often. Doesn't time fly by? I just looked up one of my posts from 2010 this morning.

    Hope that you are having a fun summer! I am excited, because I have given notice at work and hope to get back to blogging from the road soon.

    Hugs, Bec!
