* I LOVE INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES *

Yes, I love inspirational quotes, and I've definitely been in need of some new, fabulous ones. I'm thrilled to have found Twyla Tharp and to share two quotes that really knocked me out this morning...in a really good way!

“When you're in a rut, you have to question everything except your ability to get out of it.” -

Twyla Tharp, The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It for Life

“I read for growth, firmly believing that what you are today and what you will be in five years depends on two things: the people you meet and the books you read.”  -

"Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours."

That's always been one of my favorites. From the book 'ILLUSIONS: The Adventures Of A Reluctant Messiah' by Richard Bach.

    1. Hi Stephen T ~ Thank you for sharing one of your favorite quotes. It's another good one! I find it so invigorating to come across sayings that have such great meaning, in such few words! Many of them really do lift me up from a low place...which is where I've kind of been lately. But, I think I'm BACK!

  4. Great quotes, Becky. I especially like the one from George Eliot. In high school I wrote a book report on "Silas Marner" and mentioned how much I liked the way Mr. George Eliot wrote. Sister Mary Rosanna quickly corrected me that George Eliot was actually a pen name for Mary Ann Evans.

    1. Hi Donna! Thanks for stopping and commenting! I don't remember when I found out that George Eliot wasn't a man, but I know I was quite surprised. :)

  5. Becky, I read this two weeks ago and am still thinking about it. I took it to my exercise group and when it was time for meditation we studied this instead. I hope you get some good from it!

"I, who live by words, am wordless when
I try my words in prayer. All language turns
To silence. Prayer will take my words and then
Reveal their emptiness. The stilled voice learns
To hold its peace, to listen with the heart
To silence that is joy, is adoration.
The self is shattered, all words torn apart
In this strange patterned time of contemplation
That, in time, breaks time, breaks words, breaks me,
And then, in silence, leaves me healed and mended.
I leave, returned to language, for I see
Through words, even when all words are ended."
    (Madeleine L'Engle)
