* NOSTALGIC SUNDAY *

It's time for another Nostalgic Sunday

All I really want to say on this particular Sunday, September 11th, is how this date in 2001 was so horrible it was beyond comprehension...and it was the day my naivety about the world we lived in, ended.

I still yearn for those days of innocence....

But I'm also so grateful that I was fortunate enough to enjoy
so many years of that innocence.

Lyrics from God Bless the USA,
by Lee Greenwood

...I thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away...

(I'll be back next Sunday with another visit to the Andy Taylor residence!)

  1. it was a very sad day, but I actually forgot about the significance of 9/11. It's my grand nephew's birthday and he turned three this year, so that is foremost in my mind now when September rolls around.

  2. The death of innocence and trust.....the birth of a new world order based on fear and anxiety.

  3. A heartbreaking and terrifying day. I suspect what we feel is similar to what people felt after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Never forget.
