* JANUARY 2017 *

I have no specific plans for 2017.

I don't make New Year's Resolutions.

I may or may not blog very often.

I may even begin a new blog, although at this point I don't know what it would consist of.

I do hope to fit in some other creative-type pursuits.

I've even toyed with the idea of taking a musical instrument lesson...again.

And I truly want to become consistent in living an organized life.

  1. It is your life, do whatever makes you happiest. If you leave the blogosphere completely you will be missed, but it is still your decision.
    And happy birthday (next week?).
    Hugs.

  2. As long as you are happy with your decisions, that's all that really matters.
I used to live a super-organised life and gave it up when I quit working, but now I think some regular routine has to come back.
So we're both making changes for 2017 :)

  3. I'm bigger on goals, like yours, than resolutions. They seem so self-righteous!

Sending wonderful wishes for a very happy new year, Becky -- filled with good writing, good times and great organization!

  5. This is the first time in ages and ages that I've actually made a New Year's resolution. I feel very good about 2017 -- and no doubt that's a bad omen for it. Ha!

  7. Thanks, everyone! I'm not leaving the blogosphere completely...just cutting back on internet use in general. I'm going to try to keep up with correspondence, either email or snail mail, listen to music more often, cut
WAY back on watching TV, etc. because there's nothing but junk on 99% of the time. If it was up to me, we'd have NO cable TV at all. :)
Hopefully, too, I'll have time then for more of my creative pursuits and living a more organized life. We've all heard about the Japanese style of organizing, right? How many of you have heard of HYGGE? Creating coziness in your home? From the New Yorker: “hygge,” a Danish term defined as “a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” Pronounced “hoo-guh,” the word is said to have no direct translation in English, though “cozy” comes close.
    Sounds wonderful to me!

I'm still getting quite a few spam comments that are Anonymous, so I'm trying "User with Google Accounts." If anyone tries to comment that I know, and it won't let you, send me an email, okay? Thanks so much.
