Duh! I even put that at the top of my blog: Writer-Humorist-Bliss Follower.
What can I say? Sometimes I wonder about that crowbar incident. You'll have to read my book to find out what that means!

* I posted the following poem on April 21st, but I think it's well worth posting again. Have a wonderful, blissful day, everyone! *
"Follow Your Bliss.
If you do follow your bliss,
you put yourself on a kind of track
that has been there all the while waiting for you,
and the life you ought to be living
is the one you are living.
When you can see that,
you begin to meet people
who are in the field of your bliss,
and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid,
and doors will open
where you didn't know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss,
doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else."
-- Joseph Campbell
I figure when something is working you need to hold onto it as long as you can. So follow that bliss, or as I would say: cosmic kick in the pants. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Becky!

Hi Becky....I think it's wonderful you are following your bliss. I am trying to do the same. It's wonderful! Thanks for your post, your insights, thoughts, and opinions. Sincerely, Susan
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much!I am following and enjoying my Bliss at this very moment! Sitting outside the Bread Co at The Loop, enjoying our awesome weather! I'm meeting my son, Mark, for dinner in a few minutes!
ReplyDeleteAw, I'm glad you liked those words, Becky. It's great when things just all kind of fall into place just the way you think they should, isn't it. I like that poem. I especially like the last couple of lines. Makes good sense to me.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Very uplifting and encouraging!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this Becky...I needed to hear this right now as I am at a bit of a muddled crossroads where my creativity is concerned - art vs writing and vice versa.

I'll look forward to reading about the crowbar incident! Love the bliss poem. There is truth to it, just wish the doors would open a bit faster! LOL
ReplyDeleteIf I was from The South,(as some of my buddies are!) I would have say, "I just love all y'all! Y'all make my heart sing and I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart."
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling so much good karma (another word I like!)from all of you, that I'm dancing with joy this morning! I'm thrilled to be able to write anything that means something special or helpful! All of you are fabulous, special women!
"Cosmic encouragement"...very clever! And a great new tag line!
