As the title above states: I am alive and well and it's Friday evening.
I'm in the midst of another one of my many "projects".......which does not include writing my book. Never fear, though, the book is only getting temporarily pushed slightly aside, NOT going all the way to the back burner!
For those who asked and/or are curious: I'm still waiting for my lab results, but did receive my x-ray results. I have....and to quote my doctor, "a fair amount of arthritis in [my] neck, and a loss of disc height." (Hey! I can't afford to lose any more height!!) She also said she "was surprised [I] wasn't in any more pain than [I] described." (Well, I actually was happy to hear all that! It proved I wasn't complaining for no reason. And also, I've always thought I had a very low pain level, so I must be quite a tough broad, after all!)
I'm blaming my husband! He's a foot taller than me... and I've had to look waaaaay up... all these years!!
Oh my, I hope the lab results are better. Arthritis is never fun to deal with. Well, look at it this way, now that you know what is causing the pain you can get better treatment for it.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Well I hope they are able to help you with the pain and get a good treatment plan going for you. have your sweetie make you a stool so you can stop craining that neck!
ReplyDeleteSmiles and healing thoughts.
Another thing we have in common. Yes it is painful - I'm so sorry. I hope you get great lab results.
ReplyDeleteMy computer is not letting me get any messages today! I'm frustrated!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend.

I'm sorry to hear you have arthritis, Becky. I hope your Dr. is able to help you with the pain. Hope you have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! You're all so sweet! I have an appt. with a physical therapist the week after next. I've never had PT before, but I've heard it can be painful....just what I need! More Pain! :o
ReplyDeleteGoodness. Well, I hope the PT helps you. I know it works wonders for some, so we'll think positive. My grandma had arthritis and she would swig a little brandy before bed...for medicinal purposes, of course. (She was completely serious.) You might give it a try. It may not help, but honey, it can't hurt!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Julia--you make hubby bend down, and when he gets it in the knees, you can complain about your aches and pains with each other!
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa!! Sounds like a great idea to me! My husband, Ron, and I were even out shopping today, and I said, "Hey, we ought to buy some brandy!"...but we didn't....YET!! Thanks for the great tip! :D
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, Tam! But Ron's knees are pretty bad already! He just doesn't complain!
Oh, Becky, I am sorry to hear about your arthritis. But now that you know, I hope that you receive the best treatment possible. I guess your hubby will just need to sit down while you talk, so you don't have to keep craning your neck?
ReplyDeleteLisa, you are funny ... I'm sure a little nip would help!
