I just noticed earlier this evening that I had 299 posts on my blog, which I began November 10, 2008. At that time, I didn't think I needed or wanted a blog, but a few writer friends encouraged me, especially Karrie McAllister! Thank you, Karrie! When I accept my Blogger Award (someday) I'll say in my acceptance speech, that I owe it all to you!!
Karrie received the Number One Thank You because she told me about blogspot in the first place, gave some suggestions, and promptly answered any questions I had.....all by e-mail. That's because Karrie lives in Ohio and she and I have never met (in person, that is!) If I remember correctly, I first contacted Karrie by e-mail when I came across her fabulous writing online somewhere.....don't know where or when that was, but what a wonderful writer/person/friend I met!!
I have more to say....as usual....but that will have to wait until tomorrow.
"Authentic female friendship is when we allow another woman to see our core, go to our core, and risk sharing our souls." -- Sue Monk Kidd
Congrats on the milestone! Keep 'em coming. :)
ReplyDeleteGive a girl a post, she'll have a post. Teach a girl to blog, and she'll take off like no tomorrow! Congrats on #300, completely showing me up with your fabulous blogging ways, and generally being one of the nicest people I've never met! xoxo!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Becky. #300 posts is a lot of writing. Great quote by Sue Monk Kidd. Write on!
ReplyDeleteStopped by from WOW, I love your blog. I am going to share it with my Mom who dreams of retiring and having time to write. To show her dreams can come true.

ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! Thanks, dahhhhling! As long as I keep having any interesting (?) thoughts, and my keyboarding fingers don't fail me, I'll be blogging away!! :D

ReplyDeleteHi Clara! Thank you so much for your kind words! This just proves all the more why I wasn't getting much accomplished on my book, doesn't it?! But I enjoy writing on my blog and reading others' so much, and at least I AM writing every day, aren't I? :)

ReplyDeleteWhew! I zip around on Fridays, catching up on this 'n that, and you had a lot of this 'n that this week! :-) Which explains that whole 300th post achievement-congrats!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I use Vista, too. Nice labels!
P.P.S. I don't believe in coincidences so much...your sis was thinking of you, on June 8th. Lucky you, feeling that loving presence.

ReplyDeleteHey there, Miss Fabulous Cathy C.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for ALL your comments!! You're very kind! I'm glad my quotes inspire you. That's one of my favorite parts of my blog and I love it when someone mentions they like them! And I really do not have a lot of energy, physically, but bloggerally, YES! (I think I just made up a word!) :D

ReplyDeleteHi Rose! Thank you! Yes, that is a lot of posts, isn't it? It's funny, too, because I hadn't paid any attention to how many I had. I never noticed when I had 100 or 200! You have a good weekend, too!
ReplyDeleteStopping over from WOW. Congratulations on your 300th post! I look forward to reading your 301st.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on #300. I hope you enjoy your blogging days to come.
Being that I never pay attention to those things, I had to go to my Dashboard and see how many posts I have posted over the last 3 years. It is amazing how they count up.
Have a splendid week-end.
Ann
Congrats on your 300th post! I will need to spend some time checking out your blog, now that you've clued me in to our being "blog twins."
ReplyDelete=)
Way to go, Becky! 300 posts is quite an achievement! :D
ReplyDeleteSharing our souls. Love that quote. How I've found friendship in my life by bearing my soul.
ReplyDelete300 posts. Commendable. I, too, was reluctant to begin a blog. Fought if forever. It has been the most incredible experience.
Hi Katie! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be sure to check out your blog, too!
