* Microfiction Monday*

Welcome to Microfiction Monday, where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer.

Susan at Stony River hosts Microfiction Monday. Susan posts pictures every week and writers take on the challenge to write 140 character (Twitter-sized) stories about the picture.

Here's this week's picture .....and my take on it:

Others question the flying fish. I question what else Lazy Dog offers. What can it be that the words had to be hidden behind the trees?   (135 characters)

  8. The horror, the horror were her last words. Mine is a homage to On the Waterfront this week and is here.

  9. Always good to be suspicious of signs covered by vegetation.

    Of course, in the South, billboards usually conceal cops with radar!

  10. Maybe some sort of Norman Bates-y accomadation, like while-you-wait taxidermy!

  11. hi becky!

    that's cute....!

    um...listen i have sent you two replies...are you getting them? through email?

    i will just reitterate, however you spell that word...,

    your cards are sweet..and they bring smiles to many kids' faces, big and small!

    if you want to challenge yourself..you can add a doodled border on the front for more framing and visual interest!
    even a splash of paints on the front would add an extra umph!

    keep having fun...art is essentially about the process of expression, like writing...so just feel your way through it!

  14. Hmmm...Lazy Dog looks a little strung out to me...too much caffeine. Maybe the sign says, "There's no such thing as too much espresso!"

  17. Usually advertisers want their billboards to be seen. Maybe this one planted the trees on purpose.
