Wow! Look at our deck furniture! Isn't it funny? And the cones of snow on the poles?
I took this picture around 8 o'clock this morning.
This is a little blurry, but I thought it was pretty. I took this from inside (with no flash)
around 6 o'clock this morning. The bright light is the street light. We live at the bottom of a cul-de-sac and you can barely tell where the road is and where our front yard is. Can you see the "snow cones" on top of the 2 bird feeders?!
This was also from around 8 o'clock this morning. Another angle of the deck and neighbors' pretty trees.
The snowfall totals really vary around the St. Louis area. This looks like at least 8 inches of snow to me and we're supposed to get MORE! This is really unusual for us. The past few winters we might get snow five or six times, but only 2 or 3 inches at a time.
I plan to enjoy looking out, while I write and clean and maybe bake another apple pie! (Paul Joseph, did you read that last part?!)
*Also, Welcome to my Two Newest Followers: Jan and Darlene! Thank you so much!*
Snow is fun when you don't get it too often. And your photos are cool.

The stuff is beautiful, no doubt about it. I'm glad all of ours is melted, though!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get as much snow as you. Pretty to look at, heavy to shovel, and cold when it goes through the holes in my Crocs as I shovel.
ReplyDeleteWe got a stopper last winter; closed down the D.C. metropolitan area and all points north and south, including us in Harrisonburg, Virginia. That was enough! The snow is going around us this winter, so far, and hitting above and below us. Feel sorry for them, but glad it's not us!!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are awesome. I especially love the lights on snow.
Snow really is beautiful when it fresh like this. So since you have to have it, ENJOY the scene.
Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so pretty. Are you guys going to build a snowman?
Beautiful pictures, Becky! I love that first shot... looks like your furniture has thick icing on it!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
I love snow, but Atlanta isn't equipped for it and it shut the area down. The kids were out of school for a week last week.
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side, my 9-year old son built an igloo in the back yard.
Beautiful photos and beautiful snow! Just keep it in your area please! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI think I heard on the news that you were going to get more! sandie
ReplyDeleteBecky, love the pics & your blog!just found your site today. Until I read your snow posts, wasn't really feeling the beauty of it, here in the Midwest:)
ReplyDeleteBest to you & I will return...
Clara.
Great photos, Becky.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
Donna
This is the deepest snow I've ever seen in this area! Your pictures really capture its beauty, though!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky...More snow comin' here, too. Cheeze Louise. It's f-f-f-f-freeeeeeezzzzzzing, too. Going to go put on a warm, fuzzy, polyester sweater and stoke up the fireplace. Susan
ReplyDeleteWe got 3-5 here, more in outlying areas, but heard more coming for weekend. However, the sun it is out now, bright and pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! We get snow about every 12 to 15 years. This would really inspire me to write, clean, and bake pies, too! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteSnow, snow and more snow. Wow. It's pretty, but I'm ready for spring.

This is so pretty -- you certainly got a lot of snow -- you might have more than we do in Michigan!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so peaceful. But, I really don't like the cold. Enjoy your snow days.
ReplyDeletePretty pictures, Becky. Looks so cold there. We had more snow here last night too, but I don't think we got nearly as much as you did this time around. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! So beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteWe got some snow the past couple of days also, but not his much...
It's all pretty and sparkly. I love snow.
ReplyDeleteBecky!
ReplyDeleteYou manage to make the evil cold white stuff very pretty! Love the table and chairs decorated by winter!
Oh, I love, love, love it! Don't sit out there for tea, though!
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed this the other day! However, it appears I'm not too late since you haven't baked that pie yet. :)
