Just wanted to let everyone know that where I live is damage free. The St. Louis airport has quite a bit of significant damage and is closed right now. From what I've heard, there were about 5 or 6 tornadoes in the entire St. Charles-St. Louis Counties. Very unusual for us!
I hope all my blog friends are safe and damage free, where ever you are!
“When you're safe at home you wish you were having an adventure; when you're having an adventure you wish you were safe at home” -- Thornton Wilder
Glad you're okay. We're fine here and didn't even lose the fence this time. LOL. Scary stuff, though!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky, I'm so glad that you guys are fine ... that must have been super scary!
ReplyDeleteSafe over here, Becky! Glad to hear you're okay. Happy Earth Day!
ReplyDeleteSafe in South County too.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how many tornadoes there have been the past couple of weeks. Seems like far more than usual. I'm glad to hear that you are safe and sound, though.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great quote you've included in your post today. Where DO you get all those fantastic quotes? You must have a couple dozen quote books.
A blessed Easter to you.
Love,
Patti
Just getting up this morning and you are my first news...had no idea...glad you are safe!
ReplyDeleteWe're fine (without power overnight, but it's back on, for now...) but my school's roof blew off and windows are broken.
ReplyDeleteI sure would HATE to be off on Monday...I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Happy to hear you're safe! I turned on the TV this morning and the tornadoes were the first thing on.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky...Glad to read you are okay and untouched by Mother Nature's fury. Susan
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are safe - have a blessed Easter!
ReplyDeleteWoke up this morning to the news about St. Louis. Glad you are ok.
ReplyDeleteWhat a spring this has been - I am sure we have broken a record in tornadoes.
I'm glad to hear you are OK there, Becky. Hope you have a nice Easter.
ReplyDeleteSo Glad you are safe.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of Tornados scare the crap out of me.
I am the epitome of that Wilder quote.
Becky, I awarded you on my April 23rd blog post. No obligation if you already have both of these awards or something similar!
ReplyDeleteWow Becky! We were blessed too, to be safe in St Charles. But we were in church at Grace in Maryland Heights when a tornado hit. The electricty went off and we were advised to take the emergency position like when on an airplane! The church stayed safe but across the street did not. No one hurt though. Amazing grace.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you and yours are ok. The pictures on the news were stunning.
ReplyDeleteBecky, happy to hear that you're okay. One of my best friends lives in Kirkwood and she's fine, too. We were in our safe place (walk-in closet) here in Oklahoma for 45 minutes Friday night. I decided, in my discomfort, that someone should invent a one or two-person portable storm shelter - round, reinforced, padded and floatable with a nice reclining seat that you could just get into when the sirens go off. If you are caught in the tornado, at least you would have an interesting ride! (Interesting what you can dream up when you are in a dark, confining, uncomfortable place!) Annie

So pleased you are okay, Becky. I can't imagine how scary it must have been.

Those twisters are scary. So glad you're safe.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder and worry about my blogger friends when disasters strike. Good to hear you are ok! I like your new picture!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! It wasn't as scary at my house, as it has been other times...thank goodness!
ReplyDeletePatti, I forgot to reply to your comment about quotes. I always just look them up on google. And if I can't find what I want there, I'll go through a few sheets of (old) daily calendars that have quotes on them, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear you're okay! I've seen some video - ACK! I don't deal well with storms.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you are okay and no damage. The storms have been fierce!
