* And I see that we all seem to have "lost" our followers for a couple of days now. Hoping to see all your lovely faces or icons again very soon!
* I've read on several blogs that some of you are still having difficulty trying to leave comments, even on your own blogs. I think I know what is happening, because I noticed it, too....and I figured it out....at least for me.
If you sign-in immediately at the top right corner of your blog, and then go blogging and commenting, everything works fine. If you wait until you're in the comment box and try to sign in....it usually takes me 3 Times to click on "Publish Your Comment", until the sign-in box pops up! I don't know why, but it's as if the Magic Number is 3!
I'll be interested to find out if any of you try that, and if it also works for you!

Becky,
ReplyDeleteI'm having the problem. Get into a loop with the sign-in page when I press "Google Account" in comments section. Tried pressing "Sign In" at upper right, but it sent me to Dashboard. Not surprising, since I'm already signed in. A way that worked was to select "Name/URL" instead of "Google Account" in the comments section. I entered "Robert Brault" and "robertbrault.com" and it finally let me leave a comment.
Thanks! I've been having this problem, too. Love the quote!
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not I don't have the problem - this time - teehee
ReplyDeleteThanks though.
I'll give this a try Becky. Thanks for thinking of us. If that doesn't work, I'll try Robert's suggestion. Love the quote - how very true. :( Thank you so much for thinking of us.
ReplyDeleteI knew I was going to be able to leave a comment here, because thisisme was there under choose an identity. But, when I go into some blogs, my identity is not showing, and that's where the problem occurs! I'm going off to try your suggestions now.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't work for me, I'm afraid :( The blogs I was trying to get into, I wasn't able to select Name/URL (Robert's suggestion) either!
ReplyDeleteA few days ago I couldn't comment on any blogs. Google needed me to open a new account, before it would let me into my blogs, which was not easy, because, Google didn't want to accept my password, after a few tries they finally accepted my password, and I haven't had any trouble since. I hope that was all my trouble was, anyway. I haven't had any trouble since.
ReplyDeleteI thought the problem was over and then started having it again. Will try that, thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky - I'm having commenting problems on and off...biggest thing right now is that my followers are missing! The widget is there, with my header, and the dashboard shows the number of followers, but the names are gone and the icons are gone. Nope. Not very happy with Blogger right now!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had this problem, fingers crossed, but I know several people who have. Blogger is so frustrating lately! Thanks for this tip, it's good to know there is a way around this.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote! :)
Your quote is so funny. Haven't really had a problem with comments, I don't think :-). There is stuff missing on my blog, but... what can you do? Wait.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit to my blog Becky! I really did love all the Chery Ames books --her nursing career was always so glamorous! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been having this problem with some blogs, not others, even though I am signed in on my blog. It is frustrating as many use the "no reply" e-mail form and I can't even let them know I am having trouble. I hope Blogspot corrects the problem soon!
Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem as Robert, but I had another blog of mine on my desktop and now I just get to my main blog that way (I click on the icon, sign in and when I get to my dashboard then I go to my main blog). That all happened the same day that I had my Firefox 4 upgrade mess, so I thought it had to do with that.
Comments? Well, I'm signed in and check my comments first, so I get them and publish them. Maybe I am missing some? I don't know. I haven't had a hard time leaving comments with anybody.
Like Lisc RC, my followers disappeared today. I am kind of ambivalent to that widget so I just took it off. Maybe I will try adding it tomorrow again.
Also, every once in a while, Google wants my cell phone #. I just exit. That is all I need, Google or some spammer calling me on my cell.
More glitches, I suppose. They must be under attack. I hope that you are doing fine and are staying safe.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh my gosh, I had no idea there were so many different weird things happening. And, Kathy, I've never seen or heard of Google asking for cell numbers! Bizarre!
ReplyDeleteAnd oh yes...as you can see, as of right now, at 10:08pm, CDT...my followers are also MIA!
