Happy Birthday, America!

We are not a perfect country, by a long shot, but we are free and have every opportunity to grow, learn, and enjoy a good life.

Welcome to my newest follower: Jen. I hope you'll stop by often and always enjoy what you read and see! Thank you!

  1. Good morning, Becky! I am out on deck enjoying my freedom--freedom to do nothing for a little while anyway. It is cooler this morning but to ratchet up HOT again today. I have taken my western out with a pot of tea and marked it all up again...how does one know when a change makes a writing better or is just a change???? :) Now I am taking iced tea back out with a pleasure book to read. My holiday is "floating" already. Have a BANG of a day, Becky.

  2. I agree. We are far from perfect, but the best country in the world (except for France...sigh).

  7. Hi Bookie! What a great comment. I know exactly what you mean, too, about making changes to a story. Most of the time, if it looks like I'm getting completely away from what I wanted to say, I go back to where it was, and try to just make tiny changes. Good luck with it!
Oh, and iced tea sounds wonderful!

  8. Hi Sioux! Thanks! I can't agree with you about France, but only because I've never been there...at least for any length of time!

  14. Hey Becky,
Yesterday I celebrated America's birthday in the heat sitting in the bleachers facing the full sun at the STL Cardinals game. Yay! They beat Cincinnati.
And today I'm celebrating my husband Walt's birthday on my blog.
    Stay cool!
