* I WONDER *

Zowie! Time for another I Wonder.

I Wonder: Those of you who have DVRs (digital video recorders) on your TV...Do you ever catch yourself, while driving along listening to your car radio, reaching down to hit some kind of Go Back button?? You didn't hear what the person said, or didn't understand, and so you wanted to go back and listen again?? And in that split second you think to yourself, Duh! my radio does not have that!
The Ronald and I have gotten so spoiled by having that on our TV. Eldest son, Scott, kept telling us we should get it, but we always seem to drag our feet on anything new-fangled and that costs more.

I Wonder: Do the radio systems you can buy for your cars, like Sirius, have a Go Back button on them??

  1. I have Sirius XM, and as far as I know, it does not have GO BACK. Like I would know. My teenage son has to program it for me. What I wonder is: How does Sirius know to send that paid radio service to my specific car? What if I get a new car? Can I get it in more than one, or do I have to pay for each car separately? I wonder if I should learn to read the fine print?

  2. I put off getting the DVR for a long time. But, now I love it, I tape almost everything I watch, therefore, I can just fast forward through commercials. Now when I'm watching live TV, I'm forever trying to fast forward through the commercials, saying now what's wrong? Then I realize it isn't DVRed, it's live. Duh!

  3. Since I watch all my TV online, I can pause, go back and mute the commericals...one benefit of not having cable.

  4. We don't have a DVR, but I always want to use my remote to open the front door!

    Great pic for the book blurb, Becky. I hope that you have a great weekend.

  5. I don't buy the Sirius Fm though I'm equipped for it in the car. So it's just radio, and there's no back button for that either!

  6. I am one that wants to hear EVERY word, so if someone in the family starts talking and I miss what the TV/movie is saying, I ALWAYS insist on "going back."

    When I see a movie in the theater (which is rare), I often want them to "go back" too. So you are not the only one!!

    Have a wonderful day.

  7. I know what you mean about wanting to hit the back button. My husband and I wonder what it was like to watch TV without being able to fast forward commercials or stop the program while we get a snack and definitely go back to hear anything we missed. And yes, wish we had this on the radio. I have Sirius and there's no back button.
