** Almost a White Christmas **

Just a couple of days late!

The weather prognosticators said we might get enough snow overnight
for just a little dusting on the grassy areas.

Vern's first experience with snow at our house.

I think he preferred looking at it from the inside.

I slept later than usual today, so I missed the huge, wet flakes that came down sometime between midnight and 5:00am this morning. Most of it melted by this afternoon, but it's very cold again and the roads and sidewalks will be freezing.....Not a good thing, obviously.

We had a very nice Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with family and friends.
Then, The Ronald and I rested yesterday.....a lot!  I'll post more about Christmas soon.

"They say that every snowflake is different. If that were true, how could the world go on? How could we ever get up off our knees? How could we ever recover from the wonder of it?" – Jeanette Winterson

  2. Vern doesn't look too sure about that white stuff, LOL! We've had wet snow all day (too warm to accumulate more than an inch or two), but it's getting cold now. Yikes!

Glad you had a nice holiday!

  3. Seems like a lot of people missed out on a white Christmas this year, but I guess you made up for it!

  4. It looks pretty, Becky. We had a little snow here today too, but most of it has melted now.

  5. I love the snow. It makes the city look so clean. Note: The yellow snow has the most flavor ;}

  6. We got 2.5 inches. It was beautiful around 4:00 a.m. All was melted by noon, except chunks along the roadside. I guess the roads were plowed. Pretty while it lasted.

  7. I'm so jealous! Down here in Atlanta we have nothing but rain. Send some of that white stuff our way, please! Thanks for visiting my blog. Much appreciated! Happy New Year!!

  8. We didn't have any snow here in Mid-MO but I heard there was some 'black ice' that caused a few fender benders. I do know it was foggy last night here. Your little snow fall looks pretty.

  10. Hey Linda, Thanks and it's good to know we weren't the only ones wiped out!

Hi Janel! Yeah, it doesn't look like Vern loves the snow like Cooper does!

Hi Sue! Thanks and yes a little snow a couple of days after Christmas was really nice.

Hi Daisy! Us, too. The snow melted, but then iced over again last night.

Hey Lost without a Map! I loved your comment about snow making the city look so pretty...until I read about the "flavored" snow...Ewww!

Hi Val! Wish I was awake to see it coming down. That's the best part!

Hi Nicole! I know what you mean about Atlanta weather...but y'all DID get some snow last winter, I think? This entire year has been the weirdest weather year. I hope 2012 is more "normal"...

Hi Cheryl! Thanks. I know the areas that received snow was rather spotty. Hope more's to come!

Hey Sandie! Yep, I got some snow! Vern was funny. He's certainly seen snow many times before, but it was strange for the first time at our house, I guess!

  13. I enjoyed your snow pictures as we didn't have a white Christmas here in southern Minnesota. ;(

  14. No snow here in GA. We rarely see the white stuff, and when we do it doesn't last very long.

  15. It was a perfect little snow -- too bad it didn't happen on Christmas eve or Christmas day, but... oh well. Vern looks cute looking out of the window.
