Until then, enjoy looking at these beautiful ducks geese, who semi chased me to my car on December 4th!
I attended a cookie-exchange in Illinois, and totally forgot to take any photos (typical...) until I came outside to drive home! These guys were next to the parking lot where my car was.
See the one on the right charging toward me?! I jumped into my car, rolled down the window, and took this so fast I'm surprised it's not blurry!
I'll be back later!
You be careful! I had one of those geese staple himself to my dress when I was feeding some ducks. He was downright ornery, and I had visions of him on the table for dinner! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ms. Magpie! And also, thanks for calling them the right name: Geese! Duh...I kept thinking that I knew they weren't swans....LOL :)
DeleteGeese are notoriously good watch - dogs (watch - geese!) I had one bite me in the butt when I was a toddler and never forgot it! Hope you're having a great week, Becky. Hugs Jo
ReplyDeleteOh, Jo! You poor thing, getting bit by a mean ol' goose! I'm glad it didn't stop you from being such an animal lover!
DeleteThose geese can be downright dangerous ! I think you were quite right to beat a hasty retreat!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane! Yeah, I kind of panicked when I saw they were hanging around my car! LOL
DeleteDon't be trusting the geese...especially the big Canada geese..they have attitude.
ReplyDeleteHey Delores! I don't know if they were Canadian or not....but they definitely had "attitude"!
DeleteHa. Glad you escaped. This is actually a good picture. Have a happy day. Beyond accomplishing all your goals, be happy.
ReplyDeleteHi Myrna, thank you , m'dear!
DeleteBOL funny or may be not. We had that once with a swan and it was pretty scary.
ReplyDeleteHave a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Hi Molly! Yeah, you never can tell what a critter is going to do! LOL
DeleteI love the quotes but the second one really hit home with me!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth ~ Yes, I agree. I just love quotes....inspirational and/or funny!
DeleteRunning was definitely the best decision. She who fights and runs away, lives to run another day. Though I suspect I would need the car because a goose can waddle faster than I can.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
Ha! I don't know what I would've done if those geese would have been between me and my car! I thought later that...Duh....I could've thrown some cookies their way! :)
DeleteIt's like "The BIrds" on steroids!
ReplyDeleteHey Val ~ Oh yeah!
DeleteBeen there! Been chased! Not fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Bossy Betty! Great to see you here. Sorry to hear you've been chased, though!
DeleteGeese are better than guard dogs in some cases. Glad you made it to you car :) Great shot, by the way.
ReplyDeleteHello dandelion twist! Thank you for stopping and commenting! And thank you for the compliment on the photo!
DeleteLove your swans Becky. Sometimes we get the best surprises from unsure actions!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne! Thanks....and you are so right! :)
DeleteI think they just thought you had cookies and that's why they followed!
ReplyDeleteHey Jeanie! That is so funny! And I think you are right!! :)
