I was 34 years old, had one son who was 14 years old, and I had not intended on having any more children. But, The Ronald and I received the greatest surprise gift, our son, Mark, in October 1987!
A story I wrote about that experience is in Chicken Soup for the New Mom's Soul (2007), and also included in my memoir (2013).

What a sweet and sentimental memory. Sometimes the very best things can happen when we least expect them.
ReplyDeleteHope the move is going well and you are settled getting settled into the new place. Keep us posted.

ReplyDeleteEchoing Pat. I hope the move is going really, really well. And love your sentimental journey.
Imagine what they would say if you made the same call now...
We agree often the best things are the ones we least expect. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
