Time is flying by way too fast.
I can't believe it's ________ ! (fill in the month)
Why can't time drag by, the way it did when we were kids?
I certainly say all those things and more. One of my favorites is:

Alas, that's not possible, and besides, if it WAS, where would I go?? I guess I'd just float around in space, and that would be awful. That wouldn't accomplish anything! So, I've learned to stop thinking (too much) about the passing of time, and just enjoy the Here and the Now as much as I possibly can.
Below are some photos I took about a week ago along the boardwalk where Vern and I go for our strolls. I'm so happy that I did, because the leaves were at their peak! Since then, it's been rainy and windy and the leaves are falling....and I love to walk through them, making crunching noises! Yes, I'm still a kid at heart!

Beautiful pictures of trees, Becky. It was a lovely day here but the days are so numbered! Rain and chill are to return. I think November is not expected to be a pretty month around here. Closed up half the deck today...mercy, so sad to me!!! Biscuit and I had a short walk too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn. And thank you for taking us walking with you and Vern.
ReplyDeleteTime sure is flying. The trees are still gorgeous around here. Enjoy your walks with Vern.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely photos, BECKY-O!

Beautiful photos! I love the fall and it seems to go by way too fast. I agree with you- the older I get the faster time seems to go. It feels like it was just Christmas a week or two ago and now we are almost at Thanksgiving. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Gorgeous photos. We drove up to the mountains last weekend to enjoy the fall color. Autumn is my favorite time of the year, hands down. And you're right, time zips. I turned 55 this year and really feel the passage of time. 30, 40, and 50 didn't faze me, but 55 has made me stop and think about a lot of things. The main thing is to be grateful for each day and the people in it. Like you! xo
ReplyDeleteI sure do agree. Time seems to fly by faster than an eye blink. Hope we get to enjoy more beautiful autumn days before winter takes hold.
