Looking back at some of the ones I wrote during the heyday of my blogging...2009, 2010, 2011, 2012...I think to myself: Wow, I was really writing some good stuff back then, if I do say so myself!
I must've been a lot more creative then, and "writerly feeling," than I am now. Lots of "reposting" comes to mind for future days...
For now, though, This is for you, Scott...

Interesting that Route 66 is known about throughout the English speaking world. I wonder how many other highways are as famous. The Silk Road perhaps, but none others leap to mind.
ReplyDeleteSomething about 'getting your kicks' from Route 66 lol.
ReplyDeleteI had a poem published about Route 66. It truly is an icon.
ReplyDeleteRoute 66 is truly an American icon known throughout the world. One of my husband's relatives from Germany visited us then took off to travel the Mother Road.
ReplyDeleteFunny, but I too first noticed the `Route 66' tag, for me a reminder of the song.
ReplyDeleteBut it was the `blogging' comments that were the catalyst for comment... the notion of a blogging heyday done & dusted.
Having embarked recently on a blog `catch-up' the answer is still out there.
& really, it remains the easiest means of getting our writing out there with total creative control (apologies to FB).
I would be surprised if you were `more creative' then than now.
iancochrane, I don't know if you'll even know about this reply because I went to your blog and you wrote about closing it. I think! Just wanted to thank you for your very kind words and wanted to see what you've written, too, so I will go back and check it out! Thanks again
