I haven't purchased a kite yet, so I better get going on that. Every March I try to find time to fly a kite, at least for a little while. Usually just get one at Dollar Tree! No one is ever too old to fly a kite!
All is well here. Just been really busy, or really lazy 😀
Guess What?? I've actually been doing some writing again! I found a writing site online that piqued my interest and voila' ..... I hope to get back to the sequel I've been working on.....
I won't be back until April sometime, so....
Happy Easter
Happy Passover
(I love this song and every time I hear it, it makes me cry.)
P.S. I've stopped watching the news, or listening to it on the radio. I choose goodness.
My brain has been flying kites for years....
ReplyDeleteHa! I get a kick out of you, OSC!
DeleteYou are writing again? Consider me happy dancing.
ReplyDeleteAnd a very happy Easter to you and yours.
Thank you, EC!
DeleteHappy Easter to you too. I'd like to see a photo of your kite when you get one. I always planned on buying kites for the grandchildren and never did get around to it. They all grown up now and probably better able to handle one, I wonder if they'd be interested?
ReplyDeleteHi River! I think you should go ahead and get a kite! Maybe your grownup grandchildren would love to fly it with you! And if not, fly it yourself!
DeleteI didn't know you could buy kites at the Dollar Tree! Now I want to stop by the one in my town and look for one. I used to love flying kites when I was a kid; I had a big Garfield kite.
ReplyDeleteHi NW! I love it that you used to fly kites and are still interested! I never made it to Dollar Tree for a kite....yet. The weather here has been so cold and rainy and yucky that I just wasn't in the mood to even buy one. Hopefully, I'll still find one somewhere...and if not, I'll get one online! Let me know if you get one, too!
DeleteI used to fly kites with my students. They loved it. Spring is on the way.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I don't know if anyone is checking back to see if I ever got around to replying to comments...but here I am! I'm sure your students loved flying kites with you! Funny that you said "spring is on the way," because as you know, we never had spring!! We had winter...and then this heat wave of summertime heat!
DeleteHaven't flown a kite for years and that was mostly with the kids, although my husband usually took the lead with that. I always get tangled in the string and can't get it off the ground. Hmmmmmm. Metaphor??? Good luck with your writing, Becky!
ReplyDeleteOh Karen! You are funny! I must say that I never did fly a kite yet! I bought 3 at Dollar Tree, and then we had cold and rain and dreary and cloudy and yucky weather...until now it's TOO HOT! I'll try when the weather is nicer :)
DeleteI can totally relate to avoiding the news! You haven't missed anything. Not a thing.
ReplyDeleteWhich writing site did you find?
Hi Sandi! Thanks, and I'm "trying" to keep avoiding the news, but it's kind of hard when my husband watches it all the time. But I usually leave the room or get on my laptop and tune it all out! :)
DeleteThe writing site I found is: https://www.fanstory.com/ (I entered some of the free contests. I lost interest though when I didn't win any of them! LOL)
Hi, friend. Not sure if you are even blogging anymore, but I wanted to pop by and say hello. You know me, I'm in and out of blog land...am currently blogging again. I miss the blogging days of old, especially regular communication with friends like you.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Patti
Hi Patti! You're so sweet to come by and leave a comment. As you can see, I'm not blogging much at all. I try...and then I lose interest, and then I just get lazy. (Facebook has done that to me, which I really dislike!) I miss the old days of blogging, too. They were great! Please stop by or email, etc. any time you want! And I will reply!
