Just been super busy. Actually doing some writing and submitting. Also getting involved with Saturday Writers again, the group I was president of in 2011. It sure doesn't seem that long ago. I volunteered (what is wrong with me?!) to help find speakers for a few meetings and our workshop in October. Also businesses to donate gift cards or something for our December Silent Auction.
I'm really getting tired of winter! Cloudy, gloomy and not much sun. That is something that happens every year, and yet I keep complaining..and then when it's too hot in the summer, I complain about that, too! There's just no keeping us humans happy, is there??
I'm at work so this will be short. I'll try to post more this weekend.
Wishing y'all a lovely weekend, no matter what your weather is like!
P.S. I just finished a book that I can't decide if I liked it or not....and yet, I read it as often as possible...you know, a "page turner" kind of book? I think the concept was just too far-fetched for me, though...Can I recommend it or not?? I don't know! 😌
I don't think I've ever had this dilemma before!!
Allie & Bea, by Catherine Ryan Hyde
Well, I just looked at Amazon and this book has 2,765 ratings and almost all 5-stars! Obviously SOME people loved it! Ha! My advice is to look at Amazon and decide for yourself.
Okay...Bye for now!
That funny illustration describes me to a T. Oh look a book!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are still in the land of the living.
ReplyDeleteI am all too familiar with that 'ooh, look! a book!' thing as the state of my house will sadly attest
You have been a busy little bee over there! I am so fed up with Winter. We have had rain almost every day since the end of September 2019, and it really does sap the soul 😫🙈
ReplyDeleteNice to read you here Becky. I'm glad you're busy and productive. I admire your energy.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to having a poorly kept house because a book interfered with my intentions.
I'm with you with this weather, and i promise never to complain about summer. Glad you are writing again.
ReplyDeleteI think we are all yearning for Spring to come, to feel the warmth of the sun on our faces, to hear the birds chirping, to see the blooms from bulbs we had completely forgotten about....but I, for one, sure don't like 94 and extreme heat, either. I would love for 75ish days, full of sunshine, maybe an afternoon shower to refreshen everything. Housework will always be there, but the magic of being able to escape life through a book, to go to a different world, that is Heaven indeed! Stay active, a lot of people we know never made it this far in life. We are privileged, enjoy each day. And if a floor doesn't get swept, oh well!
