FABULOUS SLWG PRESENTATION TODAY

I ATTENDED A WONDERFUL ST. LOUIS WRITERS GUILD PRESENTATION TODAY. PUBLISHED AUTHOR, BARRI BUMGARNER, GAVE US A MULTITUDE OF TIPS ON HOW TO MARKET OURSELVES AND OUR BOOKS, ESPECIALLY ON A SMALL BUDGET. EVEN THOUGH I KNEW ABOUT SOME OF THE THINGS SHE SPOKE OF, I LEARNED A GREAT DEAL, TOO. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET GOING ON MANY OF THEM!

PUTTING ANTHOLOGY ON BACK BURNER FOR NOW.

After receiving various comments about the title of my anthology, I've decided to put it on the back burner for now. Even though I still think it was a funny and catchy title, I realize it didn't come across the way I intended.

I hope no one was offended by it, because that was certainly not what I had in mind from the very beginning. It was just meant to be humorous and I thought 99% of women (those of us who aren't Twiggy thin) could laugh and relate to it.

So, I'll be focusing on what I really want to do anyway.......Get my memoir written, put together and published!

TIME TO WRITE!!

Hey writers! I've just come across a fabulous book. It's called TIME TO WRITE, by Kelly L. Stone. It's full of great advice on how to make time in your life to write, etc. I've "thumbed through" and read quite a few books on this same subject, but none hit me the way this one did! It's full of wonderful tips from various professional writers. I'm truly inspired with every page I read!

OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday, February 11th, was our wedding anniversary. Ron and I have been married for 26 years!! Wow!!

In honor of that, and also because Valentine's Day is so near, I received a beautiful glass vase of mixed flowers, some of which are red roses and red carnations! And the card read: " Happy Valenversary!" ....That's my Ron!

We'll be going out to dinner on Friday, to celebrate both occasions, too.

BORDERS BOOK SIGNING

Our book signing at Borders went really well today. We also added one more local writer to our "group".....Theresa Sanders!.....and then there were four! We had a great time and plan to attend more events together.

Some good friends stopped by, plus we met some wonderful "new" friends.

A special "Thank You" to DONNA, who was so excited to meet "real writers" ! She kept saying we made her day, but Donna, you totally made OUR day!! Thanks! I hope you check out my blog and leave a comment.

And also a big "Thank You" to Lynn Obermoeller, St. Louis Writer Guild Member of Distinction, who was so kind to stop by and bought some of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books!!

MY CHIROPRACTOR IS AMAZING!!!

When I told my chiropractor, Dr. Steven Schoenherr, about my job at Barnes & Noble, he said the funniest thing....." Isn't that like you going back to the Mother Ship?!"

Since I'm not just a "number" to him, but I'm a real person, we've talked about my writing and love of reading.

Dr. Schoenherr is one of the nicest people I've ever met. The same goes for his office staff, too.

I suffered with back, neck and headache problems for years, and tried different chiropractors, but he is BY FAR, the best! I can always get an appointment, even at the last minute, and there's never more than a 5 minute wait.....if that! They don't really need a "waiting room", like most doctors!
