What's that I saw in the evening sky yesterday around 5:00pm???
Why, it was a blue sky, with a few little clouds here and there, and the beginnng of a pretty sunset!! The dark and dreary gloom that surrounded us for so many days finally lifted! It may not last, but I joyfully accepted the here-and-now of it, and I sang "Oh Happy Day"! (see song 158 in play list below!)
After going through my copy of "Time to Write" again yesterday, I have another, new burst of writing energy, thus the reason I am up and at my laptop at 1:00 am Monday morning! Now, back to my writing!! I hope everyone has a happy Monday!
Oh Happy Day.....oh happy day.... ♫♪♪♫

Becky,
ReplyDeleteThe sun, no matter how late in the day it shows up, is a welcome guest. Yesterday it was like a drop in friend who visited briefley and left me smiling.
Keep writing. I'm impressed that you're still going after midnight!
You know you're sun deprived when the comment of the day is (in excited tone), "Look! The sun's out!"
ReplyDeleteOh watch those sleep patterns, or lack of sleep! One night this month I couldn't sleep at all. I read and wrote until 5 am. Not a good next day!
ReplyDeleteLast night I slept fairly well for me. But I wrote in my head all night long! I had idea that would not gel when I went to bed. Got up for the bathroom once and two character names came to me and story started forming like bread dough in a mixer bowl. Rest of night, I did not dream, but "wrote" in my sleep all night. Now, to capture it this morning in print!
Hope you have a good day Becky...
Thanks Linda, Pat, and Claudia for your wonderful comments!
ReplyDeleteI must say, I did NOT have a good night's/morning's sleep! I mentally tossed and turned, having a very strange dream which I've jotted down. Also, Tiger got me up once to go outside. I don't know what time it was...too tired to remember, I guess...(she's such a good girl...I sometimes have to remind myself!!)Anyway...finally got outta bed around 7:00am, due to a poor "forgotten?" dog in my neighborhood. It began politely asking to be let back into its house, about that time. It is now almost 8:00am, and the poor thing is frantic! He/she barks, howls, runs from the back patio door to the side of the house.I think it must be a new pet, because I don't remember seeing it except for the past couple of weeks.(I can see their back yard from my back yard) If I knew their name or phone number, I would call them! Maybe someone will...eventually. I'm asking myself, How long should I allow it to go on before I would need to call the authorities?
Thanks for the dose of good cheer. I agree with you about the sunshine -- it was a rainy day in Georgia yesterday, just YUCK all day. Today is gorgeous, though. Sorry you couldn't sleep! Sometimes, though, my best writing is from 10 pm until the wee hours of the morning. The witching hour! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa! Yes, I've done lots of my better writing in the night owl hours!....or be-witching hours!
ReplyDelete*Note about dog outside. He/she finally stopped barking around 10:00 am!! I guess someone finally let it back in the house. Gosh, besides feeling sorry for it, I couldn't think well enough to do any writing. I didn't waste time, though....I made my "Writng Action Plan" folder...as read about in "Time to Write"!! And did a little more filing.
Isn't the sun wonderful to see this time of year? Every once in a while, when the sun is streaming through my living room window I pull a pillow off the couch and curl up with it on the floor, like a cat. My dog thinks I'm nuts.
ReplyDeleteHi Janel...I'm envious! You must be a really good housekeeper! :)
ReplyDelete*Note: weather forecast for next few days....CLOUDS, WINDY, COLD, SNOW FLURRIES. Well, I at least applaud the snow flurries. THEY make me happy!
P.S. My apologies for my ramblings this morning about the barking dog. When I looked back at that lengthy comment, all I can say is: It must've been due to my lack of quality sleep!
ReplyDeletePretty sky picture, Becky! I love that song "Oh Happy Day!" I'm glad to hear you were motivated to write. You are an inspiration to others! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's funny...I thought about taking a picture of it, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Daisy! Awwww, I'm an inspiration? Wow, gee, thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tammy! Boy, doesn't that show just how "sun deprived" we've been..that we're so excited to see even a bit of blue sky...that we want to take a picture of it???!!
ReplyDelete(And thanks to Pat for the "sun deprived" comment! So perfect!)
