I don't have an entire table setting, nor do I even have any food to go along with my tea set. But Lady Katherine was kind enough in past months to invite me to join along, so I'm doing that again today.
They are miniature in size. The cups and saucers are attached and are approximately one inch high, and the cup is one and a half inches wide (at the top). The tea pot is about 3-1/2 inches high and the tiny lid actually comes off.
They appear to be crocheted out of heavy white thread and are highly starched....thus keeping their shapes!
I especially fell in love with them, because in addition to my love of tea pots and tea cup sets, they reminded me so much of some starched knick-knacks my grandma used to have in her curio cabinets....one being, in particular, of a crocheted high heel shoe!
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
You do this to taunt me, don't you. The clock, the chicken, now this. :) Very cute!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty, Becky! They are delicate and fragile and lacy looking.
ReplyDeleteLisa, you are so funny! I can't believe you can even remember those things! You must REALLY be taunted! I'm sorry.. :(
ReplyDeleteHi Daisy! Thanks! You chose better words than I did...delicate, fragile, lacy!
ReplyDeleteI did a faux tea party, too! Your little set is adorable.

These are sweet, Becky. Things Tea are teariffic! I am wondering, do you have tea cozies for your tea pots and do you use your tea pots regularly for brewing?
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, those were adorable, Becky. Thanks so much for sharing them. Sincerely, Susan
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest crochet tea cups~ Thanks for sharing. Theresa
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty!
ReplyDeletehave never seen anything like the cup/saucers takes alot of tallent to create this. it's special. have a good day. rose
ReplyDeleteThose are really cute, Becky. I am thinking about doing a few table settings and tea party pics just for my own blog posts, but the idea of getting it all out and having to put it away again just wears me out. I'll wait until summer gets and I feel like fooling around with decorating again.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your pretties!
Those area so sweet looking.
ReplyDeleteBecky, those are absolutely precious! They are just the epitome of girly-ness!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks to each and every one of you that left a comment! You're all so sweet to take the time to stop by and do that.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue! I will check out your blog, too.
Thanks, Chatty! Always great to hear from you!
Hi Julia! Oooh, thanks for the info! I'll definitely have to check that out!
Hi Bookie! No, I don't have tea cozies and I don't even use mine for brewing, either! I guess I'm not a "true tea person"! I do like hot tea every now and then, but I'm mostly a coffee drinker, iced tea drinker (does that count?!) and a diet soda drinker!! But remember, I said if you invite me, I'll be there, and I'll certainly drink hot tea!! :)
Hi Susan! Thank you. YOUR tea cups are always gorgeous!!
Hi Theresa! Thank you and I will stop by your blog, too!
Hi Carolyn! I'll also drop by your blog!
Hi Rose! Thank you.
Hi Kathy! Thanks, and I totally understand! AND, I don't even have enough of all the pretty dishes to do an entire table setting! (Besides, I need to spend more time on my writing!!)
Hi Lynn! Thanks!!
Hey Tam! Thanks..and you're right...very "girly-ness"!!
Perfectly adorable and sets me to wondering how someone actually crocheted them! They have actual shapes and arent's just a long straight line! Amazing!
