** Tuesday: Time For Tea Cups and Tea Parties **

Hello! It's another Tea Cup and Tea Time Tuesday. I'm participating in both this week. One is hosted by Martha at Martha's Favorites

The first picture below is part of a complete set.......

I actually had forgotten about it.......

Until I was searching for something else today.............

And discovered the box ...............

hiding in a drawer............

and then I saw it......and remembered!!

.....................Drum Roll Please..................

Ta Dah........!!  Did you guess it was a miniature set?!

I bought this set on E-bay about a year ago. I have a project in mind that I needed it for, but somehow that little project, like so many others, got put on the back burner.

I wrote to a blogger friend recently that I had some things that were so far back, on the back burner, that they wound up in my neighbor's kitchen and on her stove top!

"American-style iced tea is the perfect drink for a hot, sunny day. It's never really caught on in the UK, probably because the last time we had a hot, sunny day was back in 1957". -- Tom Holt

  1. I love those little miniature tea sets. I spent many an afternoon on my front porch, playing tea party with the little girls who lived next door. We loved it, little miniature cookies and all. Afterward they loved washing up the little teacups and saucers. I think they liked the playing in the soapy water better than the actual tea party.

  2. Hi Becky,
    Adorable!
And love the quote at the end of your post. We can use some iced tea today with temps expected to reach 100 degrees.

  5. HI Ann! Thanks for sharing such sweet memories with us! I never had a little tea set like this one, but I did have a little set made from tin (I think!) I have a couple of old photos around somewhere. I'll have to dig one out and post it sometime!

  7. Hi Donna! Thanks, and I agree about the temps! That's one of the reasons I chose that quote! Yes...Heat Index well into the 100's for the next few days, I think!

  15. Adorable little tea set. I've made a few grapevine wreaths with miniature tea sets tucked in and around them with ribbon and a few boxes with a tea party glued to the top in the past. Curiosity is hot on the front burner to know what your plan was. Take care.

  23. How fun it is to find things we put away for another day! Your miniature set is so wonderful! Just love it! I did not own one and the last month I know have been given 4 miniature sets! None are pink! Love your quote! I also read the posts above, I hope all is well with your family, I will say a prayer! The rabbit is so cute, I use to raise Angora Rabbits, they will take things to build their nest for the babies. Maybe the rabbit was trying to get him some good stuff to take home! So fun to see the rabbit. I had on at my back door, first wild one we seen in a long time. I live in the country and you would think there would be more. Lots of barn cats around, so he was very brave! Thank you for joining me for Tea Time Tuesday. Hope all is good news for your family!
