** It's Another Microfiction Monday **

Welcome to Microfiction Monday, where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer. Susan at Stony River hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on Susan at Stony River to get further instructions.

Thank you for hosting, Susan.

Here's this week's picture, followed by my story for it :

I've heard of a cow jumping over the moon, but I've never heard of babies hanging onto shooting stars on a dark night. He said I was crazy. (140 characters)

  1. Well what does he know! Thanks for dropping by. And what's this, you don't read theoretical quantum particle physics? As far as I understand, the problem is that if the universe was a can of baked beans then picking it up ( the can,not the universe) suggests that only one bean in the can. But when you open it, its full, So a Higgs bosin is the way of trying to explain this difference. Simple really. But that's why you need my metaphor machine microfiction. Oh, if you want a proper explanation one is here.

  2. Not crazy - just imaginative. :)
This one's very different from what most of us have come up with this week. Well done for finding a new angle on it.

  6. Hey John! Thanks so much for attempting to explain it to me. I even went to the site you provided, but I gotta tell ya....You lost me in the middle of the 2nd sentence! What can I say? My brain just closes up and shuts the door when I try to read articles like that. I don't have the math/science brain, I have the literary brain, and I guess never the twain shall meet!

  18. I'm with you. Mother Goose definitely has to be behind this. I think I'm going to blame her, too, about there being no ice cream for breakfast this morning. I guess it doesn't matter all that much, since the dish ran away with the spoon anyway. (I mean, what would I have served it in?) Can you tell I didn't have enough coffee this AM? RATS! I knew it would show!

  19. I think that people who are not at least a little bit crazy are missing out on life's finer offerings. Thanks for sharing your post.

  29. Well, Becky, you aren't very crazy. Just a little bit for hosting contests. I have learned that when I have a contest NOT TO HAVE PRIZES. I get about as many complainers as I lose by not having the prize. And things are a lot easier. I can post and forget (except to return comments).

Thanks for peeking at my µ-fict. I am loving these different takes, yours is a on the funny side because of the "He said" bit. [Sorry I'm so late in getting here.]

BTW, our beagle dog, Adi (Adi's meme), is thirteen. She has lost her hearing so things don't wake her up much anymore.
She loves to have her tummy scratched. And she will want to go out just for the treat when she comes back in.

I'm still getting quite a few spam comments that are Anonymous, so I'm trying "User with Google Accounts." If anyone tries to comment that I know, and it won't let you, send me an email, okay? Thanks so much.
