** Comment Like Crazy (Wednesday) went fairly well....although I only made it to about 1/5 of the blogs I follow! I visited quite a few more yesterday and hope to finish up today. I think my next Comment Like Crazy Day will be a week from Sunday, the 3rd of October. That should work out just about right! It was great fun catching up on so many fabulous blogs! Gee, that must be why I follow them! (Oh, BTW, I'm going through them alphabetically, so I don't lose track as to where I've been yet...so I'm sorry if you're at the end of the alphabet.
** My sister, Marian, who lives in the Atlanta area had surgery this past Tuesday. It was supposed to be one of those "routine" surgeries, but there were some frightening complications. She's still in the hospital and I'm not sure when she'll be released. I've talked to my brother-in-law and both (grown) nieces, so they are keeping me up to date. I just wish I didn't live so far away. She hasn't been able to, or in the mood to talk on the phone to anyone yet, but she knows her long-distance family members have made multiple calls to find out how she's doing, etc. I'm hoping she'll be much better by later today.
That's it for now. It's way past midnight and I still have some reading to do. Until later........♥

It's really difficult when you're so far from your family. You want to take a more active part, you want to be there to comfort, and your humor would certainly help your sister recover more quickly...(Can you take a little video of yourself to cheer her up?)
ReplyDeleteShe may need you more as a sounding board as she recovers, rather than being near her right now, when she's not up for company.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a full and speedy recovery!
Said a little prayer for your sister. Hope she's on the mend soon and you two can talk. I went on a blog stumble and viewed 43, then had to lie down. I may get through all 126 before next week:)
ReplyDeleteHope Marian is okay! Will keep her in my prayers.

I hope your sister gets better soon. It's never easy when you can't see a loved one in person.
ReplyDeleteHope she is ok! I have been lived far from my parents for three years because of my work. Last week my mother got very sick. I don't speak English very well, neither write, but I'm trying to find some escape writing on web. To share my daily routine, or just make some people read a little about me, helps me learn English and sometimes, who knows, helps someone who is in need of help through reading. I'm new in this 'blog world' and I just started writing last week. But I'm feeling that this could works... I hope! :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and your sister!
So sorry to hear about your sister being ill, Becky. Hope she rallies soon.
ReplyDeleteUh oh. Looks like you won't be visiting my blog anytime soon...it's way at the end. Darn! Take care and have a sweet day. Susan
If I went through each blog I followed and left a comment...I'd be online for 3 days straight! I do need to get better at commenting.
ReplyDeleteHope your sis is ok!
Sorry to hear that your sister had such a hard time. I hope she recovers quickly now.

Becky I am so sorry your sister had complications! It is so hard being far away from family. I know and it's hard hard hard! My Mom (who will be 80 in Oct) lives in Houston and I wish she lived closer. Take care! Hugs,
