** Visions of Blissful Messiness **

This is the left front corner of my desk. I noticed it after I uploaded some photos from my camera, which sat on my desk, while plugged into my laptop. I thought it looked so interesting from this angle So, I thought if it looked kinda cool to me....it may also look that way to others!

I wish I could say this is my pile of submissions, but alas...it's mostly junk mail and bills. I have a tendency to ignore that which I do not want to face. But, on top of those envelopes, are some notebooks and calendars which help me with my writing.....and yes, there is ONE anthology submission which I worked on so diligently yesterday afternoon and into the night! I AM writing again! I AM writing again!

(P.S. I inadvertently forgot to mention and welcome my two newest followers: Sandra and DanPloy. Thanks for becoming followers! I hope you enjoy visiting.)

  2. I loved the photo of your desk. I should take a picture of my desk (actually it's a table) at work sometime. It would make most people shudder. If a cluttered desk might be a sign of someone whose head is full of thoughts and creativity, then I must be the next Einstein! (ha)

  3. It is a great photo. My mess doesn't make it to the desk. I have piles of everything but submissions on the floor, in the corner, in the closet and some of them are even filed.

  4. Based on your quotation, my mind is richly cluttered.

Glad you're wriing again. Other than my blog, I'm not and I want to. You're a good role model. Hopefully, I'll defeat procrastination soon.

  5. Ha Becky! I just went through two enormous piles of papers and envelopes this morning. What I kept vs. what I threw away was pathetic. I wonder why we all let things like that pile up:) Glad to hear I am not the only one. And to hear you are writing again!!

  6. You are so good to always welcome your followers. I need to do that!

My desk looks slightly better than yours, but only because I cram all the papers in the drawers and cubbies.

    =)

  8. Ha! I just moved my stuff from one desk to another, so my space is blessedly clean...for now. A week from now I won't be feeling so squeaky.

  11. My world generally seems to be rather messy, and I've never considered it a good thing. Perhaps I should look at it more positively!

  14. wow, busy desk!! and the quote is so true - if you are using your mind to create, why waste it cleaning? do what I do: when my desk gets too crowded I gently move the pile of papers to the bed (not mine, the extra bed in my home office) -as you said, mostly unopen mail and offers and stuff, but no time to file! good for your writing, two thumbs up!

  15. I like OJ's suggestion (moving piles to a spare bed) but when the bed gets heaped to the ceiling, tubs are nice. They come in the huge variety, when they are filled and the lid is on, it makes you look organized. You just have to pray that nobody lifts the lid off...

  16. At first glance I thought that was a pile of wall board and you were remodeling your home. My desk looks pretty much the same by the end of every month, and on the first it is clutter free. The signb oif brilliance is a messy desk!

  19. I LOVE THIS MESS OF PAPER...BECAUSE I AM A PAPER LOVER, NO WAIT, A PAPER FANATIC!
I'll take it in any way....even on screen, even in a mess...I'm lovin' it!

Happy to hear that you are writing, and inspired! I've been meaning to sit back down and write again...it's been quite long enough, I think....time to clutter up the brain and table surfaces! Thanks for your contageous inspiration!

Yea for you, your writing again!
Next month is Nanowrimo and I will be writing every single day to reach my goal of a 50,000 word novel before Nov 30th. This will be my third year and I love it.
    What are you working on?
