Click on the pedigree link to see suggestions of how to spoil your dog....as if we NEED any ideas on that??!!... and also how to post photos on their Facebook page!
I'll just post some of my Tiger favorites right here.
ADDENDUM: SATURDAY, 10:20AM
By the way, I know SHE has a boy dog's name, but SHE is a girl!
I guess I should refer to her as "Tiger Girl", or "Tiger Gal" when I post about her! ☺
And to those of you who have already left a comment, please do not fret. I'm only adding this, so the newer readers will know.
I'm ending with 8 quotes today, because I couldn't choose just one!!
My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am. ~Author Unknown
Did you ever notice when you blow in a dog's face he gets mad at you? But when you take him in a car he sticks his head out the window. ~Steve Bluestone
Happiness is a warm puppy. ~Charles M. Schulz
Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear. ~Dave Barry
I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult. ~Rita Rudner
There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face. ~Ben Williams
My little dog - a heartbeat at my feet. ~Edith Wharton
I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive. ~Gilda Radner
thanks for the heads up!!! as you said: like my dogs need a "day" to be spoiled!! lol... anywho.. the quotes are to die for, especially loved the one about the poodles cult (ha!) and how they teach us about inconditional love. Big hug to Tiger (loved his pics!!!) from Murphy and Verdell!!
ReplyDeleteps - thanks for your lovely comment on my blogAversary post! you are truly one of my most amazing finds and cyber bloggy-friend!!
Yea for dog lovers! My dog Hoku has DH and I well trained! "Hello? Can't you see I'm standing by my treats? Don't wait for me to bark". LOL
ReplyDeleteMy dogs think that EVERY day is "Dogs Rule" day...And that's just fine with me.
ReplyDeleteDogs teach us so much about how to live. Like "Be happy with what you're served." (They eat the same thing every day. How many people would be content with that arrangement?) And "Pause. Take time to enjoy life. Smell the smells." (We don't do that nearly enough.)
Aww, Tiger has a pillow, how cute. I like the one with the tongue out; reminds me of a baby sleeping. My odgs always ruled.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! I didn't know it was Dogs Rule day. I miss having a dog. Your dog reminds me on my dog growing up. Great post and I love the Rita Rutner quote the bottom!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to give Coopy an extra treat today. :) I love Tiger's ears! Definitely multi-directional listening devices. :)
ReplyDeleteDogs definitely rule. I love my little poodle too. Great pictures of Tiger, Becky. What a sweetheart! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an irresistible doggy is your Tiger! Thanks for the great quotes--funny, poignant, true!
ReplyDeleteI love dogs and I miss my dog Sam that I grew up with, he's been gone 5 years now. I'd like to adopt a shelter dog (October is Adopt a Shelter dog month!), but the husband says our 2 cats are enough...no more animals. :-(
ReplyDeleteI love all animals so I'm happy to see a good owner like you!
I don't want to show Tiger's photos to Daisy. She'll fall in love with him for sure. How cute he is. I'm with you on dog loving and spoiling. They are embassadors from heaven and the joy they bring is immeasurable.
ReplyDeleteDogs do rule!!!
Today is the big doggy parade in St. Louis. My granddog, Murphy, will be there.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went outside this morning, a large dog was panting and relaxing in my yard - I guess he/she was ruling right here!
If only my dogs looked as cool, calm, and collected like that. I'm usually running around picking up plastic bits from chewed up pens left laying around, telling them to "Go lie down!" because they're always chasing each other around the house, and just basically hoping they won't run into traffic...yeah, I need a date with the dog whisperer.
ReplyDeleteNow that Dogs Rule Day is born, I'm just waiting for the dog greeting cards to come out so I can observe it properly.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Hallmark won't let us down.
;)
Your dogs look sooo happy! Give them a huge hug for me. Great quotes.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is lovely so far, Becky. It's Saturday evening and I'm in my kitchen behind my laptop looking at my fireplace .^_^.
What a neat post Becky! Love the quotes!
ReplyDeleteHappys Dogs Rule Daya! The photographs are adorable x
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Dogs Rule day! You forgot to add that Tiger is very smart and communicative, too! Love all the pictures and quotes.
ReplyDeleteTiger's a cutie! (with such a good, caring momma)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Dogs Rule Day until now, although I think that is every day at our house with Princess Georgia. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteBecky, I'm so happy and excited for you that you're going to have your memoir published -- can't wait to read it. I love your quotes, especial Leonard Cohen's and yours.
ReplyDeletethanks for the different quotes. we love our 5 dogs and spoil them. loved your pics of Tiger. saw your comment on my post re crying. believe me i have no problem crying for happy or sad. i did the post in the letter form as i thought it might be more caring. i think i see many people hide their emotions and won't allow themselves to be free. take care rose
ReplyDeleteEvery day is dogs rule day at our house!

I was a way for the weekend, and my husband was heading in another direction - neither of us could take Miss Lucy with us. THIS is a very rare occurrence. Becky....she knew! As we were heading for me to drop her off with a friend, she snuck under a parked car and wouldn't come out. I had to talk her out, and it took a good 10 minutes or so.....telling her what a good girl she is and how much I loved her. if anyone saw me they would have thought I was mad. I'm picking her up today and I promise to make today all about Miss Lucy.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the pictures of Tiger!
Tiger reminds me so much of my beloved Raymond, who is no longer here. I am so glad you have such a great dog. Is she shepherd and rottweiler?
ReplyDeleteKathy
P.S. Becky ... you have won an 8x10 of one of my photos ... you choose which one.
With a face like that, I could become a dog lover! She's adorable!
