In keeping with my New Beginnings attitude, I decided that I wanted and needed a new blog design. I searched for ...um....hours....and finally found the one I liked the best! You are looking at it! It's a free template called Book Tree Template from Blog Templates. What could be more perfect for me? It has books, coffee, papers and a tree!
It might take a while longer to change things around a bit and try to get it exactly the way I want it, but for now, I'm pretty happy with it.
Again, I wish you all a Happy New Year, filled with joy and bliss!
"We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day." -- Edith Lovejoy Pierce
Love the new look! Good for you getting a new fresh start for 2011~ It's gonna be a great year! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI love the new blog look. And I love the music. You did a great job! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Thanks, Linda and TK!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Becky...looking good. Guess are doing okay tonight. We have freinds in Sunset Hills that we are worried sick about...can't reach them by phone. Hope all the other Sistas did not blow away either!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good look!
ReplyDeleteNice find.
=)
Happy New Year to you, Becky! I hope it is the best one yet.
ReplyDeleteHi Bookie! Don't worry, no one was seriously injured in those tornados, which is quite unbelievable. You can probably see pictures on The Weather Channel. They just don't have power in that area! What a week of weather. On Christmas Eve, we had snow....on New Year's Eve, we had tornados!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue and Daisy! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I love the new look :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteLOL.. you were right we both had the same idea, new blog designs. Great minds think alike. tee, hee.
I like your new blog design. I know what you mean spending hours looking at blog designs, but they are so easy to download, I am changing mine quite often.
Happy Reading in 2011.
Hi Kathi and Gigi Ann! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteWow! You have been so busy on here over the last couple of days. I love the new look of your blog and your segments on new beginnings and getting unstuck. I know that you will get so much writing done and published this year; I would think that you would no longer doubt it. There is an ebb and flow to creativity, but this is who you now are, a published writer. I don't see how that can go away.
Happy New Year and God bless you, my friend.
Kathy
Nice blog design. You sound so ready to confront the new year.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kathy and Myrna! You are two of my newer blog friends, too, that I'm so grateful to know!
ReplyDeleteElaine: We went out to eat, I had the lobster bisque, we went to his place, and yada-yada-yada.
ReplyDeleteGeorge or Jerry (I can't remember): Yada-yada-yada? You skipped over the best part. (They were interested in the activities between the sheets.)
Elaine: No, I mentioned the bisque (she hissed).
Happy New Year Becky!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Becky! I'm also considering a few blog changes, though I always worry about everything getting messed up...and if there's a way to mess things up, I'll find it!

Happy New Year, Becky. I've been gone so long from Blogland I'm looking at posts, writing one giant comment and then hopefully back on track! So -- I love the blog design; found the poem inspiring and am thrilled your are rebonding with your muse. And the NYC lunch -- well, yes indeed! Look out New York!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Congratulations! A new template and a New Year. New beginnings are the spice of life.
ReplyDeleteSioux, you are so goofy! You're replying to something I said in YOUR comment section, in MY comment section! People are probably sitting here thinking, HUH? :D

Hello and welcome nothingprofound! I'm always thrilled when someone new has somehow stumbled across my blog! I checked out yours, and all I can say is WOW!! I'll definitely be back there! Do you mind if I compare you to Robert Brault? I think you both are awesome thinkers!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look Becky! I love playing around with new templates, sometimes it's nice to shake things up a bit. Happy New Year to you! Kat
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that I seem to be the only one who can't see your new template??! Really--I often don't seem to see the pictures that other people see!!! I see a wooden background and your title, but that's all. =( But it *sounds* pretty! Love the quote. Happy 2011!
ReplyDeleteHi Kat! Great to hear from you and Happy 2011 to you, too! Yes, new templates are fun...as long as I don't have any problems with them! This one was the easiest (so far!)to download!
ReplyDeleteHey Tam! I sure don't understand why you can't see my new template! That is SO weird!! Maybe try using a different program, like Internet Explorer? I have no idea, though!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year! I like your new design, nice and simple :)
