Happy Monday!

I'm feeling happy and productive today! The "happy" part is usually a daily thing for me, although it waned a little with the passing of my sweet dog last month. The "productive" part has been missing for quite some time, due to various reasons. As of this past weekend, though, I began living.....not a "new" me...but a "renewed" me!
The Ronald bought this coffee cup for me as a Christmas gift after I saw it in Borders.
The outside was cute enough with its curved shape, large handle and Christmasy decor.

But when I looked inside and saw what it said, I just had to have it!
It is SO ME!

I received other pretty coffee cups this year, too, and a cute tea pot-tea cup gift set. I'll post photos of them some other time. I just wanted to say a quick Hello for today and to wish everyone a joyous, blissful day!

"There is no try. There is do or do not." (I heard Tommy Smothers say this on a PBS special the other night, but when I looked it up just now, to give proper credit to it, it's attributed to Yoda, from Star Wars!)

  1. Love the inside inscription on the cup.

    I also like Tommy Smothers.

    ;)

PS. And Yoda, too, for that matter...

  2. Cool cup, Becky. Good message, too. Still eyebrow deep in Christmas decorations, now in plastic bags, ready to go in bins, and be hauled up to the attic. Whew! This has been a LOT of work.

Okay, well, take care and have a great rest of the day! Susan

  4. Hi, Becky,

I must have missed reading about the passing of your sweet canine friend. Oh, the hole their loss leaves in our hearts.

I send you New Year's greetings and hopes that there are things to make you happy while you are still sad.

  8. Love the cup and the inside message. I reallyy can relate to the not 'new' me but a 'renewed' me! I think that is me this year! Thanks for putting it into words! hugs Linda

PS I started writing a story, my first time trying something like this. It may never go anywhere but it was amazing to let the words flow.

  10. I, too, love your new mug. Thanks for asking about the address book. Yes, I found one this past weekend. It was on sale too. In addition to that, the salesperson was a former student, who has graduated from college already.

  12. If we all thought of our cup as half full instead of half empty, we'd be happier people.

Neil Young's "Old Man" was playing on your blog...That took me to back to junior high---great writer, great lyrics.

I doubt that you will have a difficult time minding the message at the bottom of your new cup!

  17. Very cute heading on your blog!

Love the cup inscription! I've been MOSTLY a " cup half full" person! I find I DO have to work on my "thinking skills" a bit more and stay "in the moment" as I get older. : )

Have a "cup half full" year in 2011!
