I'm very pleased to join Terri of Artful Affirmations, and Martha of Martha's Favorites for Tea Cup Tuesday!
(I posted these photos earlier this year, but wanted to show them again now, since it's the last Tea Cup Tuesday in December.)
I bought this darling set at a thrift store for $3.00!
I love the "poofy" parts of the cup!
The stamp says: Royal Albert, Bone China, England.
Flower of the Month Series. Set of Twelve.
"Holly" No. 12
"Holly" No. 12
An appropriate pattern to show on this December 28, 2010, Tea Cup Tuesday!
Happy New Year, everyone!

I do not pretend to be an expert on china, but I think you got a great deal on that beautiful cup and saucer. The shape is lovely. Enjoy your beverage.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mya! I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment! I think I got a bargain, too, even though there is a crack in the cup that barely shows. Someone did a great repair job on it. I may not actually drink out of it, but it certainly is pretty to look at! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Becky---
ReplyDeleteI will (hopefully) see you this morning. I'll have bells on, along with $20 for a book I can finally open up. (I can't wait--to see you and to be able to read your story!)
Wonderful find at the thrift store and the perfect cup for December! Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteLovely teacup and saucer. I loved the Dean Martin music. One of my favorite singers and the song is a favorite also, It is a Marshmellow World here where I live today.
ReplyDeleteLove that teacup! Perfect for December. I love the holly!
ReplyDeleteOh Becky, your teacup is just lovely. I too think the shape is spot one. Enjoy this pattern while the season lasts, it's beautiful.

Hi: I have never seen this cup before. It is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it. I appreciate you joining us this Tea Cup Tuesday. I going to Ebay to try to find it. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteAloha Becky,
ReplyDeleteYour cup and saucer is so pretty! And so fitting for the holidays.
Have a wonderful new year filled with love and family.
My mom keeps buying Christmas trinkets and things to use around the house. If more of them were as tasteful and sweet as these festive tea cups, perhaps I wouldn't complain to my mom so much. I really like that the leaves are three dimensional. I don't think I've seen that on a tea cup before, at least not so classy.
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry Becky. I think it's actually the berries that are 3D.
