A week ago today I wrote a post about Paying It Forward and Random Acts of Kindness. The first five people who responded with a comment, saying they would like to participate, will be receiving something homemade from me. They are: TK Richardson, Kathy Matthews, Estrella, Sioux, and a new blog friend, Jen Daiker! I'm not super creative, so please don't expect anything fancy! Also, please e-mail your mailing address to me, and I plan to have your items made and sent by the end of February.Ooooh, the pressure is on!
Also, Hello & Welcome to my two newest followers: Rose Cooper, and Antonio! I hope you always enjoy whatever you see here.
I have different topics I wanted to include tonight, but I recently found out about 2 contests that are nearing their deadlines. I'm sure that every one of my writer friends could come up with something to submit, because there's both fiction and non-fiction, including memoir, essays, articles & prose. Give it a look. You just may start off your year with a winning entry!

"If you want to write, write. This is your life. You are responsible for it. You will not live forever. Don’t wait. Make the time now, even if it is ten minutes once a week." — Natalie Goldberg
Wow this is so unexpected and fun!! I will be returning your email and I'm very excited to return the favor to five lucky peeps on my blog!!! What a cool thing!!
ReplyDeleteI like the quote at the end of your post today, Becky. It's good common sense. I hope you have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky, Paying it Forward is so rewarding and fun. I know you'll enjoy doing this for your lucky peeps. You are so generous and kind. XXXMollye
ReplyDeleteHey, Becky, cool! Thanks. I hope my photos do count as handmade, cuz that's what everybody is going to get from me. I'm going to have to go back and read the rules again. Are you staying warm? How cold is it? <3
ReplyDeleteHow cool, I can't wait to receive something you've made me, and I'm certain it will be amazing even if you say you're not that creative (I don't believe that) :)
ReplyDeleteGreat N. Goldberg quote. She's such an inspirational writer, deeply rooted in life.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky - I saw the pay it forward contests and shied away...anything homemade from me would be unwelcome in most homes. *sigh* I'm not very creative that way. Thought it was a cool idea, though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the contest links. Don't know if I can rustle something up, but it looks worth a try! Have a great weekend!
Love Letters in the Sand. Reminds me of my mom's music we used to play when we cleaned the house!
ReplyDelete=)
You are so awesome with your paying back! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteLove the quote Becky and thanks for the submission/contests - no time right now as I'm working on some other writing, so I am writing!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! Thanks so much and I agree, this is fun!
ReplyDeleteHey Daisy! Thanks and I hope you're having a good weekend, too.
Hi Mollye! Thank you! I haven't heard from you in so long. I send you big hugs!
Hey Kathy! Yes, your beautiful photo cards will be perfect! It's not too cold here right now, but we got about 3 more inches of snow last night! :)
Thanks, Estrella! Well, I'm not creative in the sewing, drawing, artistic kind of way...so that doesn't leave much...except my writing!
Hi Nothingprofound! Thanks for stopping and commenting again. Good to hear from you.
Hi Lisa! I don't believe you wouldn't be able to come up with something creative. Hey...you could do something like the "chicken photo" I sent you! LOL
Oh Sue! What a wonderful comment! We always listened to music on our Saturday-clean-the-house-day, too! But it was usually my older sister's Ray Charles records, which I wasn't overly fond of at that time. I became smarter and a better music lover as I aged! ;)
Hi Lydia! Thanks! You're a sweetie!
Hey Lynn, Glad to hear you're writing! You always are doing more of that than I am, I think! Congrats!
Thank you for the welcome, Becky! Your blog is great! I love your writing voice :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rose! Thank YOU so very much! What a wonderful comment you left for me. I truly appreciate it!
