* Can You Hear Me Screaming? *

Can you hear me screaming all across the continent and all the way around the world?????

We've been on pins & needles for months, waiting to see if our youngest son, Mark, would be offered admission at Washington University, in St. Louis, as a Ph.D student in their PNP (Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology) Program. He just received the offer.....and he has accepted!!!!!!!!!!!  Alleluia!!!!

It's a 6-Year Program. He wants to become a teacher....a college professor.

This is the university he just graduated from with his bachelor's degree in philosophy. We're glad he'll still be close to home! ☺

Can you hear this proud mom??!!  Can you hear my huge sigh of relief??  Can you hear my happiness??

I can't even think of anything else to say at the moment!!

  21. Yippee! Yay for you and yours. My own kids stayed where they went to college, and married local natives. My Nat is working up his 5 year proposal for his doctorate (he has a master's at teached high scholl English). Naomi is also in education. I'm happy I finally took the plunge to be a follower instead of lurking in the anonymous shadows.

  23. Oh Becky -- You must help me!! I'm laughing so hard I can't see through the tears, at my previous post! My typing is soooo bad - one reason I don't like to post comments.
I should say my son Nat "teaches high school English."
And why is my photo not showing up?

  28. Congratulations to Mark! That's fantastic. I love the idea of Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology. That covers a lot of ground and the linkages must make for fascinating study!!! Yay! Your son, the doctor! Love that Thoreau quote, too -- always been one of my favorites. Ooh, and now I get to verify the word: evokati
Somehow I feel connected to that one.
