* Snow for Christmas? *

All I want for Christmas is a snowflake, or two, or more! According to our weather forecasts, we won't be having a White Christmas. I am SO disappointed. I'm spoiled because we've had very snowy winters the past few years. In actuality, the chance of St. Louis  having a White Christmas is something like 20%. So, like I said...I'm spoiled. I'm disappointed. I expect December snow every year now. Maybe that Cold Front will dip a little farther South and farther East than first predicted.....

I'll just have to look at pictures from last December....and remember.....

I probably won't be posting again until *Nostalgic Sunday* and since that falls on Christmas Day, I'll most likely post it on Christmas Eve.

But I WILL try to get around to as many blogs as possible, and leave comments.

Welcome to my newest followers, Run Away to Hike and Creepy Query Girl. I hope you'll stop by often and always enjoy what you read and see! Thank you!

  1. Oh Becky, please hold the snow until everyone gets off the road and safe with families. Include the return trip if possible, but at least get them to Christmas Day!

Now after that, it can snow heaps until the end of January! But please, no ice...only nice friendly deep snow!

  3. Our weatherman just minutes-ago confirmed it: no White Christmas in our neck of the woods either. So, you know what that means: a call into Card Factory Oulet asking them to put several bags of white confetti on hold for me, until I can pick them up tomorrow. Man, my husband's going to kill me, come Baby Jesus morning. He hates it when I toss that stuff in the livingroom. But, hey, what can ya do?

Have yourself a merry little Christmas!

  4. I like the quote today about kindness. So true.

I don't think you are going to have a white Christmas - sorry!

    Merry Christmas Becky!

    Love,

  5. Hi Becky,
Love your photos from last year. There's nothing like a white Christmas, but even if we don't get snow this Christmas, I'm sure it will be a wonderful day.

  6. Oh Becky...we probably won't have snow either :( And I live in Wisconsin. We're supposed to have snow..haha

I'm sure it will come in March.

  7. I'm never in a rush for snow. We had a little today mixed in with some rain. None of it stuck to the ground. I think I should move farther south. haha! :-)

I hope you get the snow you want though.

  8. Well the snow may be pretty but I can live without it. At least when there is no snow people can travel safely to family and friends on Christmas day. Have a wonderful warm and safe Christmas.

  9. I, too, wish for a white Christmas. But I don't have to travel more than 8 miles, and I have 4WD. So...in the spirit of compromise, I will wish for several inches of snow on grassy areas, while the roads remain clear. See? It IS possible to please all of the people all of the time.

  11. The last time I watched the weather they were predicting possibly a trace of snow to come on Christmas Eve. After our big storm a few weeks ago, we've had nothing more. :(

  12. No white Christmas here in MA, either. It's been weirdly warm. Those are lovely pictures, by the way! Happy holidays, Becky!

  13. The snow is pretty so long as it stays off the roads so that it's not dangerous for travel.

  14. I'd like just enough snow to cover the grass, but have the roads be too warm so it doesn't get slippery (or slippy, as I used to say when I lived near Pittsburgh).

It'll all be good no matter what the weather!

  15. Of course, we never get snow for Christmas, so I don't miss it.

Sorry you're not getting some, though!

    =)

  16. I like to look at the snow and even play in it, but I detest driving in it.

  17. It's been trying to snow here since last night... not too successfully I might add...
I'm still hoping though, maybe it will get cold enough by the 24th to have some snow stick around on the ground.

  18. Hi Becky, too bad about no snow. Others not far away are sure getting hit! We have the weird weather ... nice, 50*, sunny, and are wondering where our snow is!

    Merry Christmas!

  19. I'm dreaming of a white "Snow Day."
With every day of class I teach
    It's wasted o'er the break
    Much more I can't take
A day of hooky is what I dream of now...

  20. I haven't experienced a white Christmas in years (the day after, once), but it doesn't stop me from wishing for it. *sigh*

    Merry Christmas!! Be Safe! :)

  21. Hi Becky....I wonder if we will have a white Christmas, here in the east. The weathermen are being cautious by saying "maybe."

Hope yours is merry and WHITE! Susan

  22. I miss having a white Christmas. Never had one since moving from New England in the late '70s. Maybe one of these days.

  23. We won't be getting any snow. In fact, we almost hit a record high today. *sigh*

  24. My daughter is dying for a white Christmas, too! She prays for it every night. This is the first year I can remember when we've gone this far into winter without snow! It's killing her.

    Merry Christmas!
