* Books, Bookmarks, & Creativity *

Hello All ~

Below is a picture of a handmade bookmark.
It's made with yarn of varying shades.
It's about 7 inches long.
And it's supposed to represent a hair braid, or pigtail!
I'd love to have 50 of these so I could give one away
with the first 50 of my memoir that I sell.
But I have a bit of a problem....

I made this one, but I really don't have time to make another 49!

Would any of my local blog pals like to get together for a bookmark making session?!
I'll provide the yarn and scissors, and a few snacks and non-alcoholic drinks!
I am 100% serious, so please either leave a comment, or e-mail me with possible dates and times you would be available.

Please pass the word along because I'll need these soon!

~~~
P.S. To those who knew about the tweezers and barrettes promo, I'm putting that on the back burner for the time being. More info on that later....
  1. What a brilliant idea. As you know, I am too far away to join the manufacturing team - and a klutz to boot, but I do hope you get them done in time.
    Hugs.
  2. What a great idea. I love bookmarks, I probably have 50. I have some yarn laying around, so I will have to try to make myself one.
    1. I just visited your web page. It says your book is coming out in 2013. I would love to read it. Where or what stores will I be able to find it?
  3. We are rubbish at making things but that is a neat idea. Have a tremendous Thursday.
  4. Sorry that I'm not local or I would pitch in... Though I am not a crafter. You are probably lucky that I'm not local. ;-)
  7. I'd make some, though you may not want me to. I'm all thumbs, not the least bit crafty. Wish I lived nearby I'd find time. Things are tentative for me now. My daughter's due any day now, m-i-l still the same and I seem to have lost any inkling of creativity. Will email soon.
  8. Well, I guess I'm just ehoing everyone else here by saying I'd help if I were nearby! I hope there are many local bloggers eager to help! A bookmark making party sounds like fun!
  9. I'll pitch in. Not crafty either, but I can manage a braid - I think. We both have tables at the library for Local Authors day - I'll come up with something too, maybe bookmarks with peace signs, and we can slap some together. More fun that way.
  12. Sorry my friend, you are on your own with this one. I am about as crafty as a pig is skinny. Good luck though!
  13. Becky--I'm sure you have enough loyal followers--you know, the ones who stick with you--who can help out.
  15. What a delightful little bookmark. I've had one for years, a macrame one a friend gave me, and it is so beautiful in pastel colours. Glad you have the help you need.
  17. Too bad I don't live closer. I can't do much with yarn except knit mufflers, but I could do this one! AND I bet you'll have great snacks! Don't let the ghoosties get you tonight, Becky!!
