I never could understand the lyrics in the chorus, and before the days of the internet I had no idea what they were actually singing...Turns out, I was singing along the same "words" that they were! Ba de ya! Who knew?!
I just love that song. It's so joyful to sing and dance to:
♪ Ba de ya, say do you remember
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day ♪
Happy September!
Hey you had the lyrics right. Some lyrics it is not possible to understand. Bob Dylan's words are so powerful, I recall playing a song over and over to understand the lyrics, some times to no avail.
ReplyDeleteAnd a very Happy September to you too. Not a song that I knew. Unsurprising for a musical moron.
ReplyDeleteHello Becky, that is a wonderful son and perfect for September! You brought back memories of when I first moved to Vancouver so many years ago and saw this group in a now demolished nightclub called "The Cave". It was the one and only time I've been to such a club with sparkling little lights like stars on the ceiling and a funky band called Earth, Wind & Fiah! lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy September my friend. It's been a crazy year so far, hasn't it? Take care and enjoy your week! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to crisp clear days, blue skies, and hot soup. Fall is my favorite season of the year.

I don't recall ever hearing anything by Earth Wind and Fire. I listened a little bit, but don't really like them.
ReplyDeleteHappy September to you, as well, Becky. I love that song and posted it on my personal FB page Sept. 1. Great minds think alike, right? Hope you are doing well. Looking forward to autumn, that's for sure.

ReplyDeleteHappy September, Becky. There should be plenty of lovely days this month to keep you dancin'!
