* THE FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN? *

Hello All ~

Although tomorrow, September 22nd is the first day of autumn, it certainly doesn't feel that way in my little part of this great big world. In fact, we're having a heat wave...We did have cooler temps here and there a while back, but we knew it wasn't time yet for that to continue. It's been 90⁰F + here, plus very humid! I am SO ready for my favorite season to return...and fast.

Hopefully, to help make it feel a bit cooler, here are some favorite photos I've taken over the past few years:

I found this quote online somewhere
and it just spoke to me...

Goodnight!

* NOSTALGIC SUNDAY *

It's time for another Nostalgic Sunday

All I really want to say on this particular Sunday, September 11th, is how this date in 2001 was so horrible it was beyond comprehension...and it was the day my naivety about the world we lived in, ended.

I still yearn for those days of innocence....

But I'm also so grateful that I was fortunate enough to enjoy
so many years of that innocence.

...I thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away...

* IT'S THE 1ST OF SEPTEMBER *

Do you remember the song, "September" by Earth, Wind, & Fire?

I never could understand the lyrics in the chorus, and before the days of the internet I had no idea what they were actually singing...Turns out, I was singing along the same "words" that they were! Ba de ya! Who knew?!

I just love that song. It's so joyful to sing and dance to:

Ba de ya, say do you remember
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day

Happy September!

** There's Still Time to Enter Contest **

Hey everyone! Please remember to enter my 100 Word Contest I posted on September 11th. You have until midnight tomorrow (Saturday) night CDT. Come on, give it a try! It'll be fun! NO entry fee, and you just might win. You don't even have to be a "writer". Just look at the photo I posted and write a little story about it, 100 words or less.

And remember, The Ronald is helping to judge. I'm going to print the submissions, without any names listed and he'll read them like that.

You don't know what you can do, if you never try! Join in on the fun!!
