And...Renewed
How glorious it is to have a passion for something creative!

Below is from an article I came across online:
The Motivated Mind: Where Our Passion & Creativity Comes From
"So that feeling of intense creativity, or that feeling of euphoria when engaging in something that is truly meaningful to you — it is real and it is something physiological that happens within your brain. It is one of the least researched aspects of psychology, yet it has the biggest impact on our personal lives."

What about you? Do you have a passion that comes and goes, or is it always with you? What works or doesn't work for you? Please share!
I like your list of words, rejuvenated is a great one. My passion for writing never goes too far away :)
ReplyDeleteHi Terra! Thank you! I'm so glad your passion for writing doesn't get too far away from you. Mine has drifted a bit too much the past year, but it's baaaacccckkkkk! :)
DeleteSo it's weird. I always have a passion for writing even when I'm so turned off by the industry of writing that I can't write. I have those slumps. I think everyone does, but the whole time I'm not writing, I'm wishing that I was.
ReplyDeleteBeth...I couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks!
DeleteWoo Hoo.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue! (together we made a rhyme!)
DeletePassion is not a word I associate with my life. I'm easy going, take life as it comes, go with the flow. I enjoy things, but don't get overly excited about much.
ReplyDeleteI do have a thing for houses though and the floorplans. I love to see how the rooms are laid out and often take my pencil and reconfigure them, adding a wall or door, expanding a room or a porch, designing a garden.
Hi River! I'm a lot like you. I go with the flow....as much as I can!...and until I began to write, I never associated the word "passion" with anything other than love/romance, and I couldn't understand what it meant when artistic people talked about being so passionate about their work. The minute I was hooked on writing, THEN I understood! From your comment, I'd say you're passionate about architecture and design! Maybe you can post some of your sketches sometime!
DeleteUsually once I have words on paper, it's easier to focus on it. A blank page is another story.

Hi Pat! I agree about the blank page. Once I start typing, that usually helps...notice I said "usually!"
DeleteI am always wfiting, but often only in my mind.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! That's how I am, too. I can write a lot more in my head, than on my laptop, though! LOL
DeleteI love these words. They are like a poem. I feel them slightly now. Just got back from a little vacation.
ReplyDeleteBecky, I realize now how little I've been on line. Can't believe I missed so many of your posts. I did read a few and as usual am stunned at how much you engage with your creativity. I so much need to imitate you.
Hi Myrna! Thanks very much, but you are way too kind. If you imitated me....it would take you 12 years to write one book! :)
DeleteWriting is always the creative passion that floats my boat. And yes, it is mood enhancing. For sure! Especially when you really nail what you wanted to say.
