I actually wrote 225 words yesterday evening, which doesn't sound like a lot, but when someone hasn't written anything more than a sentence or two in MANY MONTHS, it is a very big deal. And since it was November 1st, I just may try my own version of NaNoWriMo which is National Novel Writing Month. (If you're not familiar with it and would like to learn more, just click on the link.) Although I'm not writing a novel, I will be working on my memoir's sequel. Please send me good vibes, karma, luck....whatever you think might help me!
I promise to post updates from time to time
through November 30th.
I felt a lot like this at times when writing my memoir. I hope to get that feeling back! |
I love this Steve Martin quote! |
This is definitely me. My problem has been that I haven't followed through with any actual writing or typing the stories. J |
Good for you. Now if we could only see you HERE a little more often lol.
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you, Delores! I'm trying...!

Pat, thanks so much. I hope I will!
DeleteYayyyyyyy. Good decision, Becky. Keep us posted. Your book was very captivating. Looking forward to the sequel! Susan
ReplyDeleteOh Susan, thank you so much! Words like yours will keep me going!
DeleteYou go, gal! Get 'er done!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Val! I know you'll help me, too!
DeleteI'd like to be a writer, i quite like the idea of something I wrote earning me trillions of dollars (as if that ever happens), but I never wake up in the morning with the feeling that I MUST write. I don't spend my days putting thoughts and ideas down on paper, although I have done so a few times, just in case they developed into anything. The most I can manage seems to be the Words for Wednesday challenge every week.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your memoir sequel, if it's as interesting and funny as the first it will be good.
Oh, thank you so much, River! All these encouraging words really mean the world to me!....Oh, and if I ever even make Hundreds of Dollars, I'll let ya know! ;)
DeleteGood luck! I signed up for NaNo this year just so I would be more motivated. They have a new "category" called "personal" - just might help to officially do it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lynn! I had no idea there's a "personal" category. I'll check that out, because I haven't officially signed up. And is it even allowed to sign up late???
DeleteLove the new haircut. It's fun!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are writing. And I like the Steve Martin quote. Haha :-)
Thanks so much, Sandi...for both your haircut comment, writing, and Steve Martin quote! :)

Oh, Stephen T - How appropriate of you to post this quote! I'd forgotten that I used to have a portion of that quote at the top of my blog. I'm definitely going to put it back up there! I need to read those kind of words every single day. Thank you!!
DeleteYay! Glad to hear you're writing again, Becky. I bet it was fun reminiscing with your cousin.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna! I hope the muse won't abandon me! And yes, it was great talking to my cousin :)
DeleteHi Becky, o pig-tailed one! Just popped in to say that I'm so glad you've got your writing mo-jo back!! Onwards and upwards., as they say 😊
ReplyDeleteHey Diane! Awesome to see you here! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, which I love...."Onwards and upwards, as they say." And I say back to you: "Pip, pip and all that!" :D
