This song came to my mind the other day, because of something I read on a friend's blog. I chose to share this version when I saw it was sung by the Harlem Boys' Choir. Such beautiful voices...so profound...
(When my church used to play this years ago, I never could sing along because I'd be in tears...haunting words and glorious melody...I hope you enjoy.)
* I had to turn my volume way up...you may need to, also. *
Oh Becky -- this is exquisite. I've always loved this song; this version is ethereal.
ReplyDeleteThank you -- and have a wonderful Easter.
Thank you, Jeanie! I'm really happy you liked it so much! Happy Easter to you, too!
DeleteIt always seems to be sung by children.
ReplyDeleteHi OSC! I guess the best versions seem to be that way!
DeleteA song I wish the whole world could take to heart.
ReplyDeleteHi EC - I certainly agree with you on that! Thanks!
DeleteThat is so beautiful! And I'm echoing EC's comment. I plugged in my external speakers, the ones that make movies on computer sound like a movie theatre, and turned it up. I've never heard this before, but I'll come back and listen again a few times.
ReplyDeleteHi River! I'm so glad you liked it, and turned up that volume! :) And what a nice surprise that you hadn't heard it before. I'm sure there are many people who haven't, but it never occurred to me. Duh!
DeleteThank you Becky. This is just what my soul is craving.
ReplyDeleteHi Myrna, thank you. What beautiful words: "...what my soul is craving." I LOVE THAT!
