Chicken Soup for the Soul - At Barnes & Noble

I stopped by the Barnes & Noble in St Peters, Missouri on the way home from work Thursday. My friend, Jo still works there part-time. That's where we met a "few" years ago.

I worked during November and December and spent more than I earned! (I really don't remember what year that was. I think Mark was in high school!)

  1. Working in a bookstore would be very, very dangerous for me.

  2. Oh yes... When I was there the other day, I hadn't been there, or any bookstore (except the library) in a LONG TIME. It was wonderful to browse and look at books, pick some up and read a line or two, etc.

Yeah, that would definitely happen to me, also.

It's nice to know that a few brick & mortar bookstores still exist. They seem to be like me: "dinosaurs" that have managed to survive a bit longer.

    1. I'd forgotten how much I love browsing in B&N, I guess partly because they have all kinds of writerly things, not just books, but they are of course the main reason I go there. Small bookstores are still surviving in spite of Amazon. I donated one of my Read, Laugh, Repeat books to Main Street Books in St. Charles, Mo. It's small but makes a big impact on all the writing community mostly in St. Charles County, Mo. We've moved so far west that I've been removed from all my old activities, etc. But I'm getting back into it!

I'm still getting quite a few spam comments that are Anonymous, so I'm trying "User with Google Accounts." If anyone tries to comment that I know, and it won't let you, send me an email, okay? Thanks so much.
