** It's Tea Cup Tuesday **

Happy Tea Cup Tuesday, hosted by Martha and Terri. I'm also joining Lady Katherine for her Tea Time Tuesday. Although Katherine's posts are more about elegant table settings, I like to join her because she invited me!

My tea cup today is a darling, demitasse size cup. I think it's just adorable and has a beautiful pink floral pattern. I chose to show it, not only is it pretty, but it's special to me because it was given to me by my friend Lynn over at Present Letters. It was one of those "for no particular reason" gifts that don't come along that often. Lynn knows about my joy of tea cups and when she was antiquing and saw this adorable set, she said she just had to buy it for me! AND, she even got me 2 sets that same day! The other one is a miniature and it is darling, too. Thank you, Lynn, so much....for your friendship, kindness and thoughtfulness. I hope you can begin to blog again soon. I really miss your letters.

The bottom stamp says: Made in Liling China, with Chinese lettering.

* I'd also like to add another huge Thank-You to everyone who's been so thoughtful and kind about my son, Scott. I won't be able to truly breathe until he's safely back home. *

 * Oh, and one more thing. A friend from high school is having a kidney transplant today at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Please keep Dee in your thoughts and/or prayers. *

  2. Charming little cups. Do you have a special cabinet for the small ones or just mix them in with regular sized sets? I like the handle on this one, looks inviting to use. Sometimes handles on any cup are designed in a way to may using it hard to do.

  3. Carmel has lots of place for cups of tea...and on a foggy day like today, several may be needed. If you poke around on my breadonthe water.blogspot you will find other Carmel pictures and stories. For all the folks that do come here, and there are visitors aplenty, I know there are many who want to and cannot rightly prioritize it. Now I am going to have to research Doris Day's hotel... I know her neighbor, but Doris is either well disguised or laying low lately. Myabe, if you come to Carmel she will come out of hiding. Thanks for the visit...do you like cream and sugar with your tea?

  15. Hi Rose! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Bookie/Claudia! No, I don't separate my cups. They're all in a small curio cabinet. I really don't have that many. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Jeannette! I'm just so envious that you live in such a beautiful part of the country! Someday...when I'm traveling and promoting my book, I'll have to come to Carmel for sure! (first I gotta get the book finished, though!) Thanks!

    Hi Brenda! Thank you!

Hi Sue! Thanks! Lynn is not only a blog friend, but an "in town" friend!:)

Hi Terri. Thanks so much. I will be writing about my son later this evening!

Hi Snap! Thanks! And I'll second that YeeHaw! :)

    Hi parTea lady! Thanks!

Hi Estrella! Well, come on and join in the Tuesday Tea Cup fun!

Hi Tina! Thanks! I hope to make it over to your blog, and others, to comment, too!

Hi Martha! Yes, we both seem to have the clumsiness "gene"! Thanks for your prayers, too.

    Hi Karen! Thanks!

Hi Tam! Thanks! I'm glad you noticed my "wallpaper"...No, it's a scrapbooking paper! I bought lots of it on sale a year or so ago, at 10 cents a page! I've covered things with it and also use it in a basket-folder-thingy I'll have to show you!!

Hi Lisa! I really only have about 10 sets of tea cups! I've only posted about ...maybe 3 of them? And they really are stored in a very small curio cabinet...only 2 shelves. It's about 3 ft tall maybe.
