No, I didn't welcome 2013 with an alcoholic drink,
but I'm taking on Maxine's attitude for the year
because this is the year for 60th Birthdays
for myself and most of my school-age friends.
I just happen to be the one born the earliest in 1953,
and I'm happy to lead the way in Celebrating our Sixties!
The following song lyrics just popped into my head and I think they'll be my 2013 Theme Song because no matter what I do this year, especially pertaining to my writing or publishing, "I got to keep on moving"!
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
Nobody's gonna slow me down, oh-no
I got to keep on moving
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh-no, I got to keep on moving
Nobody's gonna slow me down, oh-no
I got to keep on moving
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh-no, I got to keep on moving

Please don't forget my Kickstarter Project ends on my birthday, January 6th. If you can help in any way, I'm very grateful.
Maxine is a such a gem. And I am being blown away by the number of Capricorns I am finding. More than a twelth I swear.
ReplyDeletePerhaps our basic bentness calls to each other? You think?

Look at all those sexy birthday chicks! Happy 2013 to all of them. I passed 60, and life is great. I hope you enjoy a very Happy Birthday, Becky.
ReplyDeleteWhy do I get the feeling that after that picture was snapped, you all rushed outside, revved up your Harleys, and tore out of the parking lot with gravel flying?
ReplyDeleteI love Maxine's attitude. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking of you. Will email soon.
Perfect song for 60-year-olds like you and me.

I am also a 1953 baby, but not until September. Have a good one - I'm finding that it's not that bad getting older, as long as I get wiser. I guess that, in my case, is up for debate, but I like to think I've made progress.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Becky! That's fun that your birthday also welcomes in the new year. I hope you have a stupendous birthday weekend!
ReplyDeleteI remember that song! I'm glad you included the name of the singer, because I had forgotten. I love Maxine!
Happy New Year, Becky!

Ahhh, I turned the big 6-0 back in September! It's the new 40, I hear, so it's not so bad! haha
ReplyDeleteMine blogger still isn't letting me load photos. Maybe because I do it in "compose" mode instead of HTML mode? I don't know, but hopefully it will be fixed soon!
Happy New Year!!!
Donna
I love Maxine's attitude, sounds good to me. Happy 2013 and Happy Birthday to you, Becky! :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like this will be a monumental year. I hope it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI am slowly dragging myself onward and upward, snagging those nasty chin hairs every time I sit down in front of my newly acquired super magnified makeup mirror. I think I may need one of those lightboxes. There's way more sun in Tucson this time of year.
