A Dog and a Cat Go Into a Kitchen...

On Sunday, August 11th, I posted pictures of a darling set of S&P Shakers a miniature teapot and tea cup. A very good friend gave them to me as a house warming gift. The same day she gave those to me, she also gave me my (belated!) birthday gift: a Hallmark gift book, Humor for Boomers, Older and Wiser, (and Funnier!) It's full of humorous sayings and cartoons. The one below is one of my favorites!

Have a wonderful Sunday and blissful last week in August!

  6. Big (and loud) smiles here. This morning my calendar says 'If I wanted to hear the patter of little feet in the house, I'd put shoes on my cat.' And I decided I wouldn't.

  9. Tee-hee! Of course, the microwave does heat the food. Therefore any self-respecting dog would find the microwave fascinating!

    1. Hi Julie! You do a much better job than me. I keep telling myself that one day this week, (which I say EVERY week!)I'm going to do nothing but read and comment on others' blogs. Ahhhh....good intentions! :)

  12. The saddest thing is I think I have once stood in front of the toaster oven - for FIVE minutes - listening to the tick tick of the *mechanical* timer before I realized the darn plug was not even in the outlet.

I later enjoyed a microwaved Hot Pocket.

  14. Becky...I'm always behind in my blog visiting. Case in point...this one!

Thanks for the kind words on my blog. I'm a closet memoir writer and that entry came out of the woodwork. I actually have another blog that I'm developing as a memoir blog. It's still under wraps.

LOVE cartoons like that. That describes ME with the smartphone incident I wrote about. I'm so techo-dumb.

    1. Hi Mike! Hey, no problem whatsoever on the blog visiting. I am ALWAYS way behind and many times don't show up at all. I just can't seem to stay focused and organized. (see my chicken button above!)
I'm quite techno dumb, too. I have a Blackberry cell phone and refuse to get any of those "new fangled" ones!
Have a great rest of the week and weekend.
PS I would love to read your memoir blog!
